Modified my Sully Mfg. LLC Rod Tote to be more efficient and better hold my fishing rods. Rods would pop out of the original clips when carrying them and when stored on my buddy’s bass boat.
Switched out the original 4 rod clip holders with 5 spring loaded rod holder clips. Mounted the spring clips to a strip of plastic cutting board and mounted it to the rod tote using the flat side of the wall mount clips that came with the rod tote. More secure now and also added a handle.
I’m working now to install a receptacle so I can install the rod tote in my fishing rod holder receptacle.
I currently place the rod tote next to the passenger seat and secure it with a Velcro strip to the side rail of my buddy’s Stratos 268 bass boat. I can easily select a rod and put it back so they stay neat, protected, organized and at the ready. 🤠🎣👍
