  1. I’m capable of finding and hooking any and all cover in any lake or pond.
  2. I’ve always liked the original Duckett Ghost but they don’t make them now. I see now they make a Ghost 2. I picked one up today. Anyone used one yet and have any thoughts?
  3. You can’t stuff a 10 pound sausage into a 5 pound casing.
  4. I’m still waiting on the crash. I’m in the market for a newer used boat and still stupid high.
  5. If a fish will die 30 seconds to 2 minute like you guys claim, then every bass at the tournament weigh in will all die. They hold them up and have them in a bag much longer than that.
  6. I mean at the spot of the catch. Now they can pull them off beds and take them miles away. Just keeping them in the livewell that long can kill a lot of fish. And now crappie tournaments are getting much more popular. With livescope this is going to be worse than the bass tournaments.
  7. “The possession limit is the amount of unprocessed fish a person may hold after two or more days of fishing. In Kentucky, this amount is two times the daily creel limit for any species that has a daily creel limit." This is unprocessed fish a person holds in the field. This how it works in Kentucky at least.
  8. I don’t believe possession limits count the ones in the freezer. That’s just a two day limit in the field.
  9. I have the Oldtown PDL. I use the instant reverse all the time. The wind moving you or fighting a fish you can go from forward to reverse several times without any effort. It becomes second nature. I don’t know how anyone could fish effectively without this kind of drive.
  10. I wish it cover what to look at on the motor as well.
  11. How long does it take eggs to replenish once they spawn? I see guys catch bass or crappie up in the summer and say they still haven’t spawned because they are full of eggs. I’m wondering if they just grew the eggs back? If the nest is destroyed because of water level drop or predators can they grow them back and re-spawn? I can’t find any data on it.
  12. I just lift the drive in the Predator PDL and let it rip.
  13. Are these basically the same boat? My buddy has the R73 and we fish big water and it handles very well for a 17 footer. I can buy a lightly used 175vs pretty cheap so wondering what to expect from it.
  14. The motor needs a lot of work according to the mechanic. Very expensive repairs. Big pass from me.
  15. As you can tell by my name...I use them often. All year. Jig it or swim it across the bottom. My favorite.
  16. Well he now has it at a boat mechanic getting it checked out and said he will give me all the information once he picks it up.
  17. So I found a 2006 Bass Tracker 190 with a 115 Mercury. It’s been setting covered in a barn since 2008. Guy wants 5000 for it but I’m worried there may be a lot of issues with it setting that long. It was his grandpa’s and wanting it out of his barn. Would it be worth it or should I run?
  18. They say 90% of the fish live in 10% of the lake. With electronics advancing its making it impossible for the fish to hide. You can watch boat after boat hitting these areas non stop. Fishing pressure is also getting much heavier every year. Kentucky lake and Barkley have many tournaments every week. There’s no way this pressure isn’t having effects. I just wish they had all tournaments catch and release.
  19. So this may ruffle a feather or two but how much damage does tournament fishing do to our lakes? Specifically, during the spawn. In Kentucky and Barkley we face the Asian carp issues as well but taking these fish at the critical times has to have a huge impact I’d guess. It’s pounded hard with tournaments that move the nesting fish and males that guard them, miles away. Do we need more laws that stop tournaments during the spawn?
  20. Can’t tell you how many 3 to 4 pounders I’ve caught with a crappie jig in April. Seems I would be smart enough to keep using it when actually targeting the smallies.
  21. Kentucky is not in the top 20 top bass lakes now due to the carp and probably pressure it gets. It was once a top notch fishery. While you can still have good days, it’s a tough lake now. You must wear a blindfold. They are everywhere. I’ve seen them in schools that seem to not end and some bays that they are bank to bank. Fishermen are netting them by the thousands of pounds but it’s a slow process to remove enough to make a dent.
  22. Where is the phone or computer made you typed that on? Lol
