  1. Hey everyone, I need some help and some recommendations for a new boat. I finally decided to upgrade from my old Tracker and dive into getting a bigger 19-20ft boat that I can eventually fish tournaments with. I have been looking into fiberglass options that are a few years old, but recently stumbled across the Vexus aluminum line. Has anyone had an experience with these boats? How do the compare to some fiberglass ones? I know there's some advantages and disadvantages to both, but just want to see what everyone's thoughts are and what would be the best overall option for the money. Also wondering about electronics. With so much new stuff coming out recently, I'm just wondering what your recommendations would be if you could full kit out a boat? Thanks
  2. To answer your questions, mostly Megabass Carbons Heads. Specifically the Wild Bunch. I also started looking at the Poison series. I'm pretty much open to anything though so if you guys have any suggestions, feel free to let me know. This is my first real dive and look into JDM rods
  3. I've been looking more at investing in some JDM rods and models. Are there any sites that are better to buy from or that are more trustworthy? Any ones I should stay away from? And has anyone bought any recently during this COVID problem, hows that effecting shipping?
  4. I've seen recently that Kistler is running their spring sale. I've always been interested in getting one, but my problem is all the rods I've fished before with cork handles have been cheaper cork and I've never been a fan of it. I'm wondering what the quality of the cork is like on their rods. In general, what's the advantages of cork or what do people like about it? Is it worth springing for the custom rods from Kistler or ALX without cork? Appreciate any feedback, thanks.
  5. Has anyone used Miller Rods? I've been seeing some more reviews about them and have been looking at them on TW. How to they compare to some of the other higher end rods? I was looking at the jig freak for a new bottom bait rod. Thanks guys for the feedback
  6. Have you fished with the Poisons yet? The only information I have seen about them is from pro staff or from Shimano themselves, so of course they're going to say the rod is good. I haven't fished with St. Croix, but I will definitely check it out. Have you fished with the Cashion rods before? I've looked them before at some fishing expos, and the carbon fiber is pretty interesting. I thought about buying one of these, but they seem really thick compared to other rods. I am interested in how they perform though.
  7. Hey guys, new to the forums here. I got really into fishing a couple years ago and are finally getting around to expanding my arsenal and becoming more technique specific with some upgrades. I'm looking for a good, sensitive rod for pitching around bottom baits. I know sensitivity is all subjective, but just looking for some advice on rods. I don't have a budget, but my one hang up is that I really don't like cork handles. Right now, I have a Tatula Elite that I do really like. I thought about getting another heavier version of that, but I figured I would do my due diligence and ask around since I don't have a ton of experience with fishing different rods. I was looking into the Poison Adrenas and Miller Rods, but haven't heard much about them. I've looked at other options on TW without cork and I'm open to suggestions, so any help or information you guys can provide would be great. Thanks!
