  1. Have the worst bass thumb ever after the last two days...and I'm not complaining lol those were some fun fish. Also @YoTone I want to get on some stripers sooo bad, love fishing for 'em when I'm down in jersey on a beach day with the fam. Any chance you could give me some pointers on where in the Delaware river to launch from/fish for? A park, a location I could launch out of? Been living in Philly area 12 years and still have never tried for them here haha
  2. @TriStateBassin106 Hey man, any update on your order from Cabelas? Haven't heard anything about mine, got mine off backorder too To be fair, the estimated ship date is June 1st or 2nd
  3. Jeez I've had an eventful couple of trips. Marsh Creek- Yesterday, caught a 2.3lb and another a little over 1.5lb and my friend caught one that measured out at 3.08lb! Super shallow on a Zoom fluke and a big lizard. Today, went out for two hours caught another at 1.3lb Now for the sad part. Went to Ontelaunee for the first time ever, took my waders, caught a little bass then near the end of the day, hooked into what felt like a heavy heavy fish that broke me off. That wouldn't be so bad, if it didn't flip up near the surface trying to shake my hook after I broke it off, and it definitely looked heavier then my PB, a 4.5lb. Super happy that my season's started to pick up, but that big fish... ?
  4. Threw a brush hog at a 2 pounder, he took it, I set the hook, and when he was right at the bank, broke off. I came back an hour later and he's still there, with the brush hog in its mouth. So if someone catches a nice one with a brush hog still in it near the Conestoga bridge, give me a shout lol
  5. Anyone catch a fish on a frog at marsh creek yet? Have yet to catch one on topwater this season haha
  6. Hey all, just ordered mine from Cabelas as well on backorder! Excited to get it out on the water soon. Also, anyone have recommendations for a good battery? For a 55lb thrust trolling motor
  7. @Smells like fish ugh just made me buy two, my lure-head addiction continues...
  8. It's insane! Looks like they're drawing the water down. Way shallower this May than the last two years, some guys in the marsh creek fishing forum are going wild because they think it's hurting the spawn right now/causing the bass to leave their beds permanently. I could see it having some effect, but I hope not, the spawn + the post-spawn period the week or two directly after is my favorite time to fish marsh
  9. Caught a 1.5lb bass at marsh creek today, fishing parallel to a weed line.
  10. Caught a bass on a bed, local pond couple days back. Hope they start spawning in the lakes soon.
  11. Got first boat! A little mini bass boat, the Pelican Bass Raider 10-E Excited for a good summer at marsh and blue marsh with this thing + a 55lb thrust motor
  12. @Bruce424 the day I went was a Friday, insane amount of people at the stilling basin. Bad for virus and for fishin' lol
  13. Big cold front coming up, no spawn anytime soon it looks like...
  14. Hitting up Blue Marsh tomorrow, hope to catch some off the rocks on lipless cranks and jigs. If not, I'll try some finesse! Would love to catch my first smallie of the year
  15. Had an hour and a half at the Marsh today, threw a Ned rig around, missed three bites and hooked into a perch ? I'll try again soon for sure!
  16. There's never been a day where I've caught 15 fish and thought "mediocre day" haha. Even if it's a total dinkfest!
  17. @Bruce424 Nice fish man, think I saw you on fishbrain! You fishing from the stilling basin, a bridge?
  18. Was just about to say @Bruce424 thinking of heading to Blue Marsh, I'd love to get on a smallmouth bite. Not to busy there, is it? I'd like to keep some distance between me and other fishermen ?
  19. @Quarry Man what's up! Yessir, fellow Marsh Creek angler. I've only caught perch in 2020 so far at MC, excited to get out there soon though! Looks like the bass fishing is picking up a bit. My PB is from Marsh Creek about a year and a half ago, a 4.5 pounder @YoTone gotcha. I've only ever accessed that cove from boat, but maybe I can find some land access too.
  20. @YoTone dang that's a nice one! Lake, pond, river?
  21. @YoTone I live about 5 minutes away from Marsh, but I've heard from a few guys on boats that the park rangers are calling people off the water with a bullhorn, so I've been sticking to the banks. And since the waters still mid40s, not a lot biting from the banks haha
  22. @Adam Markley how'd you do? French creek state park seems like a great smallie spot.
  23. Marsh Creek still seems a little chilled @Quarry Man did you manage to catch anything that day? Haven't bothered to take the boat out yet, but got skunked from the bank, fishing that point at the mouth of carpenter's cove the other day.
  24. Will definitely go with the heavy then. Thanks folks
  25. Glad I found this thread! Really looking at purchasing a Dobyns fury 7'. For the Dobyns Fury line, is the MH or H/Fast action a better all-around casting rod? I do mainly throw big worms and jigs.
