  1. Wow that is funny odd after two DUI's & wrecking two cars in 6 months the last Black out drunk on Wild Turkey Hit the small pine trees just before Slippery Dip on Bch Blv. I Finished my School with State of Fl. At Arthur G.Dozier School for Boy's Class of `82 After getting out in April moved out West to Ca. I have just celebrated my 36 th year without any drink.Had a couple kids Girl now 35 Boy 31 a Widower & Now married again Went To School as a older student had got my degree in AJ .Law enforcement/Wildlife Protection & Enforcement. So your a little older & I was a little dumber But being sober made me smarter then ever being a father made me care more then ever now as a grand father has made me more aware of the passage of time then ever before .So yes those of us lucky enough to have learned our lessons of life's Big Mistakes can now spend our times doing things that let us know how important the good things we learned as a child were to pass on to the next generation as we age .Fish on Brother .If we don't learn from our past we are doomed to a future of repeated failures.Rick
  2. Why has know one named Brady asked Gronk to comeback like Seattle did Marc-hon Just tell him he might get to play the Bills again .Please play for us Gronk come back for one more parade if for no other reason .The Parade won't be the same without him ,.Come on Tom Don' t let the student become the teacher with Gronk you'll go further the Jimmy G & the nine er's Bill tell Kraft to climb down from his pile of gold and ask Gronk to please come Back We don't want to see Edelman have to be put down on the field after braking his back or neck .please please come back Gronk .Bill said great things about you on the 100 th all time Greatest .He said you were the best teammate anyone could have .
  3. Oh yes I do recall the other N ames That is the same name I believe it was called by most of the people I knew that was a time when it was just the way it was Drive through Liquor stores, with set ups for how many minors with the one 18 year old driving Ha Ha .Midway Drive In have they all went away as well Yes PBH was at South Side & JTB When I was last there they had just pushed JTB over to the other side of town there was nothing but road to haul -SS on& that dam toll to no place What was the water over near the mall called ? So 30 + years I got Julington Creek off a little Julian Creek is close .Nice to talk with you what year did you get out of HS.?
  4. That is sad to hear about FJC & UNF at FJC we used to use bread in the ditch near the old police academy back way to Sandalwood HS. Catch 10" 12" shiners & knock the mess out of nice Bass 7,8 lbs just about every trip & a friend caught a 11 lb.Problem at that lake back then was a massive 12 ' feet long Gator that was always taking our bait snapping lines or on occasion swimming in with the line only Opening it's mouth about a foot away from shore when we went out in a boat it was never far away .Had to watch a guy lose his black lab one day Signs every place no swimming Gators Dude threw a stick his dog went after it & that was it .I am sure everyplace has changed in the past 34 years or so there was a great pond Crystal lake it was called over near the channel 17 TV tower & Bluegill for days out at peanut butter hole near Regency Square mall So do you live on the Orange park side of the river or the Julian Creek side? If I am recalling the area right But Green cove springs was still my best place for specks & Nice size Bass Is Pelham's fish camp still around ?.Can you see any markings on the plate that gives capacity ? You might try this method to fix your BH. it involves using a heat gun with a new plastic welding compound they use it to repair yaks out here it seems to work very very well.the early boats were filled solid with foam so it should be ok unless it is holing the water like a sponge.I say use it till you can't load it thanks for the info .Did your friend ever tell you were he bought it ?what year? thanks & good luck with the Big Winter time Bass they are out there ps. I am mounting a big old Jazzy power chair seat on my BH very comfy .A new seat would cost nearly as much as the boat & hell it fits very well
  5. Hello Have you ever had your Bass Hunter out at Robin's pond or any of the Cranberry pounds in Lakeville ? Great fishing sure would like to fish back there again one day .what are the numbers on your metal plate ?
  6. Hello Mike I see your from the place I grew up as a teenager Jacksonville Fl. FYI .I just purchased the exact same boat as you have the oldest of the Bass Hunter Boats .But I have a little more history about these great boats at one time 1970's there was a Appliance store on Beach Blv. across the street from the Alhambra Dinner Theater.Any how The owners were a older couple who owned the store as kids we would do odd jobs for the people we called Ma & Pa Bramel. Well Pa Bramel was a sharp older man who switched from selling Appliances To Motor Cycles Dirt Bikes were the new thing after a while he started selling Boats It was at this time he had invested & helped create what was called then & is still called the Bass Hunter two man boat with people he new in Georgia .These boat were all of us kids dream but were a bit high end for us kids back .But he would let us take them over to FJC 's pound to try & drum up sales . then I think they were $300 out the door never had a chance to get one back then .So when my friend out here in Northern Ca. said he had a small boat would I like to check it out I said sure When I saw the Bass Hunter he had nothing but the hull no seats it was like seeing a long lost friend .So now I am trying to find out if this old BH was one that my old Friend had sold or helped invent so long ago .I have only found That Bramels was out of Business in `81 the number on the metal Capacity plate is 82-001 model BHEC II I think that means that mu boat maybe made after he sold his interest in the boats as it says they were out of business in `81 what is yours marked at I would bet yours is one of the boats sold by Pa Bramel as your in Jacksonville as was his shop .ps. your last name is not Huelette or did you go to Sandalwood HS.?
