  1. I have always drip some Gulp in crawfish scent on my plastics. Does it help? Doesn't hurt. 😉
  2. Down here we would praise it as an example of "Cajun ingenuity" 😉
  3. Big fan of 6th Sense crankbaits and cranks in general. Finally found the perfect use for the Movement 80X recently...enticing bass up out of about 7 feet of grass at Caney Lake.
  4. FWIW, I consider it a swimbait and throw it on my heavy-duty swimbait setup...and it is responsible for my PB. 😎👍
  5. 16# (Suneline Sniper) is a good compromise if I had to use only one line for baitcasting
  6. I use a Falcon Lowrider Swimbait (LFC-76H) for up to 1 oz. and a Okuma Guide Select Swimbait Stick (GS-C-7111Ha) for 1 - 6 oz. and don't feel I've compromised with these reasonably priced rods. Caught some nice fish on both, including my PB on the Okuma.
  7. Find. Catch. How? Whatever it takes to accomplish the above. 😉
  8. Got mine at 8 a.m. CST. Order confirmed at 10:39 😁 You may want to check your spam/bulk folder.
  9. Same as nearly every year: a Tatula MH (Vanford 2500) or Dobyns Sierra M (Lews Speed Spin) spinning rod with a blue emerald or blue sapphire Trick Worm on a shaky head, usually an Owner.
  10. Tackle Warehouse's depth of product selection, speed of shipment and low order total for free shipping are key to me. Many times I would like to take advantage of sales from other vendors but find it would take buying from two or three to get all the products I wanted/needed at the time. At that point overall shipping cost kills any savings from the sales.
  11. Solid advice and the way I do it, particularly beneficial for my dedicated 600- and 1000- yard rifles where a little error on scope leveling gets magnified to an extreme when you start dialing up turrets.
  12. Do this at 15 - 25 yards and you will be ready to proceed to your chosen zero (50, 100, 200 yds) without wasting ammo. Never saw the need for a boresighter and I have scoped plenty of rifles. I've actually done this in the hallway of my house: you don't even need range time. For me, an essential is some sort of level tool. If you mount off level you'll always be behind the curve as you stretch out your zero.
  13. Not Catt replying, but it was primitive weapon season (3 days only) on my favorite Atchafalaya Basin WMA and both of Saturday's hogs fell to a Henry exposed hammer single shot in...wait for it....308, naturally 😁
  14. I hear ya and it is an interesting exercise. I sort of skipped the hard mental work, just in fun. 😉 I reload every caliber I shoot (except shotshells and .44 mag) so I only need two rifle calibers in the safe: 5 .308s and one 5.56. I've got one tuned for target shooting at 600 yards and another for 1000. 😎 And I would not use it for hunting large game like elk at over 400, and that's with good shoot placement. May take a pronghorn one day but large game for me is stalking a hog (or deer if the opportunity presents) and here in Louisiana my shots are always less than 100. Tracked one of the two I shot Friday and a blind man could have followed that blood trail for 50 yards. Besides, I have no more room in the safe or friends willing to help me move a larger one. 😄
  15. Why no love for .308. Got 2 more hogs hanging on the meat pole this morning. Not for elephant of course but plenty of round for everything domestic on your list IMO.
  16. I'm satisfied with two 10 in. HB Helixes at the bow. One runs Mega Live only, the other unit underneath runs either mapping or Mega 360.
  17. As a horror film lover, especially all things zombie, this immediately came to mind when you mentioned Japanese and Korean films.
  18. I have three lure retrievers onboard, including a telescoping one. But what do I usually turn to? A 5 or 6 oz. bank sinker with a snap swivel zip-tied to the sinker's line tie. 😎
  19. Final photo from this year's trip out west, a view from Capitol Reef National Park in Utah.
  20. San Juan National Forest, Colorado
  21. Glacier National Park, Montana
  22. Ophir Pass, Colorado
  23. Ridgway in Eastern Rockies Corridor, Colorado
  24. Black Canyon of the Gunnison in Colorado
  25. Excellent question. I'm only comfortable fishing shallow and feel completely lost in deeper water. Certainly can use some tips as well.
