  1. Reminds me of the Molix kento but I don't think it's that exactly.
  2. A bit of both? I thought I had updated my shipping address but I guess it didn't save (I distinctly remember pressing the "same as billing address" check mark), so it ended up getting shipped to my old address. When it was marked as delivered but I didn't get anything I filed a claim to get it replaced, but didn't realize my mistake until after. Replacement was in the mail but I reached out to the people who currently live at my old address and was able to get the package that got sent there + the one that I was actually supposed to get. I felt like an idiot ?‍♂️
  3. I messed up and accidentally got my most recent tackle warehouse order twice, luckily I was stocking up on stuff I really like!
  4. Any fish I plan on eating I keep alive on a stringer until I'm ready to leave. Then I kill it with either a bonk/knife to the brain, and then cut the gills to bleed em out. The brain is dead the but the heart is still pumping so it pumps all the blood out keeping the meat fresh. Then straight onto the ice.
  5. I use a standard milk crate I got from home depot along with one of these to organize my tackle. I put 3 3600 tackle boxes in the pouches on the outside, soft plastics on the inside along with anything else I might need (grips, scale, rope, bottle of water, etc. It has a divider for the interior which helps). Best part is it has a shoulder strap, so I don't have to move all my tackle into a separate backpack if I'm beating the bank - I can just bring it with me.
  6. Eventually got through to TW, had a replacement package that was supposed to arrive today. Again marked by UPS as delivered, and there is nothing here.
  7. Oof, that might explain why I haven't heard anything back about my package that was marked as "delivered" but I never received.
  8. Reaction Tackle on Amazon has green-pumpkin tungsten weights that they claim are chip resistant.
  9. Idk about never heard of, but I'm a huge fan of tequila sunrise and rarely see people throwing it!
  10. Alright, I'll bring my frogging stick along tomorrow and see what I can make happen. I had a 1/8oz texas rigged worm today, I think I'll try it weightless too. How do you decide where to target when the entire pond looks the same? No idea about structure or depth beneath the grass because my fish finder is basically useless
  11. I recently got a kayak and have been exploring some of the local spots and found a beautiful little pond that only has kayak/small boat access, so hopefully low pressure compared to the spots I usually fish. The thing is, 90% of it is full of what I think is hydrilla that comes nearly up to the surface. I brought a sample home to get a good look at it. There are a handful of deeper pockets that are fishable, and clearer water towards some of the banks, but otherwise most of the open water has this super thick grass that comes within 6-12" of the surface. I see v-lines and bluegill swimming around on the surface, but I can't seem to throw anything above the grass without it getting fouled up. I plan on going back tomorrow and focusing on the deep pockets (as I think I saw some bass moving around in them, or perhaps they were carp? They've been jumping out of the water like crazy). How do you approach a body of water like this? After getting a kayak I've learned I'm not nearly as good an angler as I thought I was and have been struggling some, but I'm determined to learn this pond! FWIW, I'm in the Mid-Atlantic, water temps in the mid 60s according to my deeper.
  12. I once set the hook and my jig flew back and nailed me right in the chest, it left a wet mark on my shirt in the perfect shape of my jig!
  13. I wouldn't think so, though it may give him more distance and more leverage when setting the hook
  14. Anyone in Eastern MD near the Delaware border? I'm in DE but always looking for new fishing spots, and if there are decent ones over the border I'd be willing to get an out of state license.
  15. I have a Deeper Pro+ that has a kayak mount you can buy online, and it doesn't need extra batteries or a transducer. As long as you have your phone on you, you're set
  16. I have a nice light Legendary Whitetails coat that I like
  17. I'm working on getting my kayak rigged up and trying to figure out a solution for my anchor. I already have an anchor trolley installed, and was going to get a Super Stick shallow water anchor pin which comes with lanyard to connect with. Then I was going to attach a quick release snap shackle near my seat (probably affix it to my seat using a bit of rope), run the end of the lanyard through my anchor trolley loop and connect it to my quick release (like this video shows: https://youtu.be/qzSWqEH44YM) Should this work? Will I run into any problems with anchor being attached near the center of the boat, even if the anchor trolley is positioned at the bow or stern? I'm new to all this, so hopefully this isn't a dumb question and thanks for the help!
  18. Took my new toy out for the first time today! Old Town Topwater 120 that I got barely used for $700 with an anchor trolley already installed. Psyched to be able to get off the bank and get on some new spots!
  19. ALX Zolo Deputy (7'1" medium/heavy) is what I use for jigs and texas rigs and I absolutely love it. Crazy sensitive, good backbone, and good balance with my shimano SLX. Customer service is on another level too, I received a hand-written letter saying thanks for my purchase. You can call them up or shoot them an email with any questions or recommendations for a rod if you tell them what you're looking for. They've got my business for sure
  20. I have two spools for the reel of my t-rig rod - one with 30lb braid, the other 15lb tatsu. It's as easy as popping the new spool in and re-rigging if I ever need to switch, and I don't have to mess with leader knots. This is the only rod I do this for, however, as buying extra spools for all my reels would get pricey!
  21. There's a local bait shop that makes a killer 6" ribbon tail worm, and I'm a huge fan of their tequila sunrise color. That specific worm, on a 3/0 offset worm hook, with a 1/8oz tungsten weight would be mine.
  22. Another vote for the ALX ZOLO Deputy. It's what I use for all of my texas rig/jig fishing (1/4-1/2oz) and it is easily my favorite rod in my arsenal.
  23. How do you mean semi-slack? That's one thing I've never totally understood. I interpret it as, with my rod tip down there is a bit of slack in the line, but with my rod tip up it is tight.
  24. That's good to hear, there isn't much info or reviews about them online (though what I have found has been all positive things!). What kind of line would you put on it?
