  1. @TnRiver46 let me catch a ride yesterday evening for a short sesh. Didn't get a picture of every one, and lost a couple others at the boat, but the white bass were big mad, and we did what we could to take advantage. This one was not coming off. I didn't get my scale out, but I'm guessing this one went at least 7 pounds. This one decided to be rude and pooped all over me, the cooler, and the boat while I was getting it unhooked. That was just uncalled for. Our esteemed captain caught a few good size Tennessee tarpon and sent one of their heads out with the goal of enticing a striper, but, sadly, no dice.
  2. That'n looks like it might have some kinda thyroid condition. I'm glad you came along to give it some excercise.
  3. There isn't any airborne near me cause it's all on my daggum car.
  4. I don't blame them. Who wants to eat snot?
  5. Awesome job.
  6. Unfortunately, I hear he's real hard to get ahold of.
  7. Wild. Absent damage, maybe there was a bad spot in the metal when it was molded.
  8. Are they as sharp as the ones Hattori Hanzō makes?
  9. No, that's them. I honestly don't know what else to call a hook with a weight molded around the eye unless I'm calling it a jighead, you know?
  10. There are jigheads intended for use with wacky-rigged plastics.
  11. Lily out here living her best life.
  12. UPS brought me a new box full of stuff to get snagged and lose. The megastrike (as seen on TV) is gonna be a new experience, but I know I can't go wrong with a product endorsed by the creator of the helicopter lure.
  13. I use a 1/16oz wacky jighead a lot more often than I fish them weightless. Even in the pockets that are out of current.
  14. That's awesome. My girlfriend's from Eugene. If I ever move from here, the Willamette valley is on the short list of destinations.
  15. Hey I know that guy! And that depthfinder!
  16. I dunno if it still is or not, but when I was in school, boater safety and hunter safety were required classes. They were taught by my seventh grade science teacher, and that's 100% what the class was. Mostly just shooting the breeze about fishing and hunting, and going over the TWRA-provided materials to prep for the proctored exam.
  17. We don't deserve dogs.

  19. You know, I kind of have the same stance IRT Apple mobile devices, and that's really only because I can't leave anything alone. I've torn this Pixel down to the studs and rebuilt it the way I wanted it. I like that. iPhones are great if you're able to leave them alone and let them work the way they wanna work. For servers, I'm perfectly happy only using Linux. I used to be an Apple diehard for desktops and laptops. Started using them in school for my first degree, and tuck with them when they started soldering everything inside to the motherboard so that nothing was user-serviceable anymore. Even stuck with them when I couldn't get a matte screen for my laptop. I finally had enough when they removed the physical function keys from the Macbook Pro and replaced them with that stupid touch bar. The touch bar is, was, and will be the hill I choose to die on. Turns out, in the time I was ignoring Windows, they started doing cool stuff to make life easier for developers that don't write .NET, and the advent of WSL2 has made it so I can kind of have the best of both worlds: A machine with hardware that I can service myself that also doesn't turn into a dumpster fire when I have to actually write code.
  20. Interestingly, when I try to access the image by URL from this thread, I see an error page. But, when I go to A-Jay's profile and grab the image URL from his gallery, I see it just fine. Same computer, same browser, same URL, two different results.
  21. Soft plastic baits are made by either pouring heated liquid plastisol (this is the plastic that non-elaztech soft plastics are made from) into an open-top mold, or injecting that same heated plastic into a closed mold. @Skunkmaster-k is talking about melting down and repouring old, torn up plastics.
  22. From Friday. Another day, another dink.
