Yup been watching weather/temps.. nasty today with high winds gusting to 50... will get good again ,next 2 days in the 50’s than 60’s for 5 days or so lows in the 40’s .. so planning my attack and than bracing for a mental breakdown as I am not ready to hang’em up either. Last year was end of November

This morning was first in a while I got skunked but didn't think it was gonna be good ,, alot of rain last few days and big temp drop over last few days.. hopefully picks back up in next couple days

Funny as I hated my Mojo when I first got it.. now I love it 6’8 MH/F.. I know I even previously commented I didn’t like it.. but now it’s a go too for my tight fishing

Only thing I would say is..many guys looking for recommendations(Opinions) is because there is 1 million rods/reels out there and no way to touchy feely before you buy. Not because they are always beginners. There’s just way to much out there and most are in a warehouse not a retail store .. more times than none you have to base it off of the forums ,read and than make your decision which leads to another opinion.. it’s what it’s all about and no way around.. it’s not like being able to go test drive a car.

Took the reel out.. it works.. it is knocky sounding on retrieve kind of klunky. When I landed a bass that sound would go away presuming because of drag when reeling fish in.. so it works but 60 bucks on a prez 30 isn’t gonna break the bank.

Did a quicky cleaning and lube and spooled up with hi viz 15lb power pro.. I’ll add a leader.. until Black Friday I’m gonna grab a rod cheap and grab the Fury on Black Friday.. I have couple weeks to fish til the fishies shut down. Thanks for all the help especially MN FISHER.

The Mysterious reel. This has me stumped . Only a couple guys to call and say hey did u give me a reel whenever lol. But I would think I would remember that. But seems like it all works fine.

Ok.. I have zero idea how this just happened or if it would work.. 5 minutes ago my wife walks in my office and says what’s this? She hands me a Abu Garcia Cardinal Stx 10. I said where the **** did you find this ? It was a bin in the back room of basement she was going thru.. I have no idea where it came from.. it looks like it’s been used quite a bit .. it’s not mine but guess somehow it is now as it ended up in a bin in my basement . Obviously about to google this but anyone have a clue about it?

President 20, 30 or 35 on 6’9 to 7’ medium light /fast? or should I be Looking at the Xt 25 .. looking at the Lews 6’9 Carbon fire speed stick .. this all just stuff in stock at dicks

Well looks like may be a Champion Xp 734c from a fellow forum member. Not the length I was really looking for but it will be put to use lol.

I doubt I’ll go crazy on one . Will just have to figure out what to get and guess use it for wacky rigs as well .. although have always fished them with a bait caster with no issues

I’ll probably invest in a decent set up Black Friday .

All I have is baitcasters.. lightest I have is a 6’6 White Bird medium heavy/fast... but it’s a complete pool noodle .. it’s nice whip lol. Currently have 15lb braid on it .. add 8lb flouro leader?

Most may laugh but today was my first using a Ned rig set up. Just never got to trying the set up.. what r u all throwing these on as I was having issues detecting bite even though I landed 11 . Could feel no knock nothing really .. palming reel with finger under line as my usual.. they were all dinks so guessing that’s why I felt nothing. Setting the hook is key ... not oh the line is going off a little as I’m reeling in and lucky they were not all swallowed which 1 was unfortunately and could not get out .. I mean he swallowed it.

I see a few posting about the 734c.. which I know is popular.. being I’m looking medium heavy are Dobyns Rods on the lighter side.. so a 734 is close to a medium heavy as a lot of other rods?

Want a new 7’ to 7’1 all around Medium/Heavy -fast or extra fast casting rod.. I hate this as there r no stores that carry them to get my hands on.. 200 ish.. no particular order. 1. St. Croix Mojo Bass (I have the 6’8 which I hated but now love) or St.Croix Premier if worth the extra 2. Dobyns Sierra micro if worth the upgrade over Fury 3. Daiwa Tatula 4. Shimano Zodias( new model) also looking for comments on how each rod stacks up with there power /action ratings.. as obviously all r different.. one medium heavy may be more of a heavy and one medium heavy may be more moderate.

I’m not worthy yet .. hopefully next year . Enjoy fellas. ?

Still nothing but dinks since I started this thread.. same deal as spankey posted .. last few mornings tons of fog ,cool not cold weather. Dink dink dink dink dink. Found a spot this morning where could see they were pinning bait fish in a cove.. still dink dink... if there is hidden audio anywhere near me fishing anymore they will hunt me down and put me in straight jacket the amount I’m talking to myself ,I have thrown Everything in every size. Unfortunately no morning outing for me tomorrow cause the wifey has me picking up more crap for the house ... she needs to find more appropriate things to buy.. like things she doesn’t need my truck for ?

It’s not that I’m getting skunked.. this is just the 1st fall that is crazy odd. And I’m throwing all but the kitchen sink .. I’ve caught decent size bass but everything is still skinny.. and as mentioned top water has been slow where as usually it’s on fire right now here . No matter where I’ve gone.
