2 spinning 2 casting seems like a sensible plan. 6'6 - 6'8 rods for both. Spinning ML - Med Casting med - MH I'd be fine with all Dobyns.

I have a Bass Raider for ponds and river. Seats are high and comfortable and the boat is very stable. I use a 55lb thrust TM that is bow mounted. I'm 64 and can load the boat in the bed of truck by myself but it ain't easy. Con: this boat does not like wind.

I use a #1 wide gap mustad hook, similar to a trout hook. Therefore a med-light works great to keep them pinned, nose hooked. Same hook used to nose hook flukes.

I've had bass boats before and after kids. If you have time, a vehicle to pull it and a place to store it......a bass boat is a must. 😁

I don't mind the snow at all but hovering around 0* - 10* sucks. Have to get up every night around 2 and go outside and throw wood in the boiler......it can't keep up 😲

We've been having a brutal winter here so I've been laid up for the most part. Projects in the garage has kept me from going crazy. Working on chainsaws mostly and clearing driveways for older folks.

As I get older it's definitely the cold. AND unfortunately we're having brutal cold here. Snow, few single digit nights, wind. At least it's still football season 😉

I shot a black bear several years ago and had a fly fishing buddy swing by and took several bags of hair and a few claws. He also uses deer hair. Black and chartreuse hair jigs was a go-to bait in our river for smallmouth.

Do you need to state the obvious 😄 It's the bank 2 light that's out so think I'm gonna stick in another deep cycle battery that I have lying around just to rule out a bad battery.

I have a Promar 2 bank charger for charging my (2) trolling motor batteries 24V. The issue I'm having is only 1 indicator light is coming on where it's always been 2 displaying. It was fine on my last fishing trip when I plugged up, both batteries charged completely. Cleaned all the terminals, applied light coating of dielectric grease, checked fuses, water level good. Multimeter is at daughters house 😕 Batteries are 4 yr old interstate. What ya' think ? Bad indicator light ?
