Oh, didn't see this thread. ?
My dad was 21 years military and was in 3 wars, purple hearts.
We had crew cuts growing up and had to ask to be excused from the dinner table each night.
He was off to himself mostly, I get that.
Reading through this thread I get the impression that many members are against reeling a bait up to the top eye.
I do it every time out but not reeling into the eye with any resistance.
Release a foot of line and then cast.
To much dangle will invite a tangle ?
I reel up to the top eye but never leave a bait dangling in the wind.
Infact, if a particular bait isn't working , I'll put it away and rod goes into the rod locker to clear space.
I can't directly answer your question but have a 6'10 med Cashion Core and it runs a little stiffer then some of my other mediums.
It's also my most used and favorite rod I own.
This forum is my only association with social media as I don't own a computer, don't read a newspaper and the only time the TV is on is football season..... it's called preservation of sanity. ?
your in charge of making things what they are.
Oboy, this is a pet peeve of mine.
Constantly late is a form of disrespect and something that rattles my cage.
Everyone I deal with in life is always early, including the wife but my long time fishing partner needs a 30 minute buffer on the back side of time ?.
Brother and I are hanging tree stands next weekend.
Problem we're having is drought.
I'm not seeing the amount of Bucks on camera that I usually see as there's no water up on the mountain.
Oak trees have aborted small acorns already due to drought.
My level of enthusiasm has taken a hit but I'll still be out there.
In Cat 4 - 5 hurricanes I like to fish bigger bodies of water.
That way if you get blown around the likelihood of still being on water is much better.
I just had to.
Never had the need for a trailer hook on a Spinnerbait or buzzbait BUT my fishing partner of over 40 years won't throw either without a trailer hook........go figure.
Got my retired 1st cousin on the boat today and the fish were very active.
Hitting crank baits, Spinnerbaits and wacky finesse worms.
He hooked the best one in a tree top with a crappie colored Spinnerbait.
I can easily get on the water before daylight but go to bed before dark.
Can't fish from anything other than a bass boat, spoiled.
Swim baits hardly ever get thrown from my boat ?.
Strength ?
Fish 3 days a week and never get burned out and can tolerate moody fishing partners.
