  1. @GreenPig Very true and why I always wear a safety harness.
  2. This thread is making me sleepy 😴. Lol Sleep is something I've never struggled with. Stay busy and you'll get sleepy later that evening. The lack of sleep is VERY detrimental to good health.
  3. @gimruis I can't think of a better LT than Williams. If we erase all injuries, lots of good teams with many " Dallas, Miami, SF ", I'd like to see Miami vs Niner SB and it's not far fetch.
  4. Interesting year so far. I'd rank Miami #1 thus far, that speed 😳 and Tua throwing darts. #2 SF Injuries to Deebo and CMC are concerning....... Purdy looked very average without them. #3 Philly has their share of issues, new OC has Hurts playing like Mac Jones, sorry. But the D-line and O-lline are top tier. #4 Detroit Goff is having a stellar year.
  5. I threw more wacky finesse worms and Shakyhead this year than any year previous and never exceeded 1/8 oz. They kept producing and I kept throwing them.
  6. Hey John, this thread is 14 years old.
  7. I've always froze them completely submerged in water but most often, the fish never make their way to the freezer.
  8. My favorite top water baits remain the same throughout the year. Devil's Horse Buzzbait Whopper plopper Rapala top water jerkbait Rapala Skitter
  9. I throw nothing but jigs in winter months, nothing else. They catch big fish.
  10. Having the desire and health to do what I enjoy is an accomplishment. Put 5732 miles on the truck while dragging the boat so far in 2023 and still have a few more trips planned.
  11. 84 DD bass in 1 year and less than 90 trips to the lake speaks volumes ?. I doubt I've caught 84 5lb fish in 50 years of fishing.
  12. Wow, didn't hear that ?. Yes, I was in fear watching him as a kid. RIP...... legend.

    Diabetes

My wife's father wears a monitor and gives himself shots. My best friends mom had both legs amputated. It's serious but can be mitigated, yield to your doctor's advice.
  14. Lol, there's a perfect formula for pitch black but forgot what it was. Maybe it's the turbulence created by the blade or blades spinning, just maybe.
  15. Gotta admit, that's the worst I've seen. Would fish even bite in that ?
  16. The 2 rods that are always at the top of the rod locker have a Spinnerbait and a plastic worm tied to them.
  17. Me neither but I'm betting the under water vibration of the single blade Colorado is much more pronounced, perhaps what triggers the fishes reaction.
  18. I looked at a ton of bass boats before purchasing a Lowe. Lund would be at the Pinnacle for aluminum hull and also really liked Vexus locally. Hope you find the right boat the suits your needs.
  19. I throw a short arm single blade year around, tied on every outing. Been doing well lately with jerkbaits as well. Our water temps are in the mid 60s.
  20. Fish at night. Finesse worms weightless or 1/16 wacky head during the day.
  21. Fall fishing is a welcome relief from summer heat and a few bigger fish. I've not been tearing them up this week but water temp was 68* today and was able to catch a few on top water jerkbaits early. I will definitely fish hard in October but prespawn will always be my preferred time on the water.
  22. I like the answer which makes complete sense. Same thing but use a short flouro leader because braid forms a romantic relationship with front treble. Imo
  23. One thing I quickly realized about this old thread, not a single contributer back in 2005 is still around other than a moderator. Oh, I'm not competitive in the least and have no idea what or how I would rank myself. Drive would be a 10 as would fun.

    Your Dad

Oh, didn't see this thread. ? My dad was 21 years military and was in 3 wars, purple hearts. We had crew cuts growing up and had to ask to be excused from the dinner table each night. He was off to himself mostly, I get that.
  25. Mrs B will be in my Prayers ?.
