  1. After a very busy year of bass fishing, finally pulled the plug. Been catching a few bass in December but water temps dropped into the upper 30's and promptly took back to back skunks. Cleaned up the boat, serviced it.....done until March.
  2. Never threw a Ned rig or a Neko this past year.
  3. That makes to much sense 😂
  4. I keep a box of cheap lipless ( Amazon ) for wood but there's a down side to the real cheapies....... they don't wobble as well on a slow retrieve so I either have to burn them or use a yo-yo retrieve. I may try cutting the hooks as suggested.
  5. Definitely an affair 😂
  6. I've done it once, hard to get on plane 😳 But once you do it will draw the water out then hang over transom and install plug. My goal is to avoid duplicating any and all of Bill Dance bloopers. Ha Ha
  7. Not nearly as much water as mentioned above but roughly 25 lakes inside of a 90 minute drive. My personal favorite lakes have campgrounds so I bring the wife and the dog and spend the week.
  8. Looks well kept, hope you enjoy it.
  9. Never kept track but I'm still fishing so far. Probably averaged 3 days per week in 2023. Hopefully much the same in 2024.
  10. As long as the butt is long, I really don't care. Definitely no pistol grip, look at tactical bassin, composite really plays no role..... under the armpit leverage. Lol
  11. When I first start out is when the front deck can get crowded with rods and reels. Once I figure out a pattern I can arrange a cleaner work space. More often than not I always end up back to my confidence baits which vary depending on water temps. 3/8 swim jigs Spinnerbaits Jackall flickShake 1/16 wacky head Square bills Weightless Senko Devils horse Drop shot Shakyhead This covers 95 % of what I throw year around. Flukes and jerkbaits are tied on somewhere down in the rod locker as well.
  12. I'll just skip over the playoffs. Baltimore vs SF in SB. Oh, I do believe Eagles will still end up winning the NFC East given the remaining schedules. Dallas on the road in Buffalo and Miami next 2 weeks.
  13. Hope nobody was in that boat, wow.
  14. I don't mind throwing on a rain coat for a light rain but detest my gear getting rained on steady. I'll simply pick a dryer day, overcast preferable.
  15. I probably see more Trackers on the water then any other boat for a reason....... affordability and functionality. Hope you find the right boat and use it.
  16. I've got a lot of equipment and some are on a maintenance charge year around and some I simply charge periodically. What you want to avoid is a complete discharge. Couple of weeks unplugged won't hurt a thing but will admit, when the wife and I travel for a couple of weeks, I leave the battery tenders connected.
  17. In 2023, I've fished 27 different lakes in VA/WV. I've put over 5k on the truck pulling the boat. 2024 will be a repeat and a couple of new lakes thrown in. @ol'crickety Wife and I will be staying at Bar harbor for 2 weeks in July but all fishing will be salt.
  18. I've helped my sister through 3 and they've all been a nasty money pit and court battle. Wish you the best.
  19. Absolutely beautiful fish, congrats.
  20. I fish so much I can't even remember where I caught them. 😂Here's a few.
  21. Our water is 43* currently and it's been slow fishing. 1/8 - 3/8 jigs and spinnerbaits have been responsible for what few fish I've caught. Suspending Jerkbaits and underspins have always produced in the past in cooler water temps. So far in December I'm only averaging 1 fish every 2 hours fishing from 10 am until 2 pm. Good luck.
  22. There is no reason as an NFL football fan to think SF is not a front runner to the SB. Just an unbiased fan of the game. Baltimore or Miami from the AFC, maybe.
  23. It's obvious at this point, SF will be the NFC representative in the SB....... against Baltimore or Miami ???? Maybe
  24. I won't do LS only because I'm to old to learn new tech. Lol Plus I catch enough fish to keep fishing. Lame excuse, I know.
