  1. @PhishLI Will definitely give this a try. Really like Elaztech and throw a lot of Shakyhead and tried heating the spring keeper with limited results. Much appreciated 👍
  2. I've had several failures on the water with one requiring a tow. Fuel has never been an issue though simply because my boat doesn't sit long and fresh fuel is being added regularly " non ethanol " . Blew a lower unit last year on the water but luckily only 300 yards from the ramp.
  3. I'm rooting for SF but from a betting standpoint, can't get myself to bet against Mahomes.
  4. I have 2 pairs of prescription progressive lens glasses. My insurance covered only 1 pair but I went ahead and opted for a pair of polarized " not covered " .... best investment I've made after the boat. Mine are Oakley in amber.
  5. Well since this thread started I've already changed insurance companies 😁. Now with that little green lizard with an accent, saved a bundle by bundling 😃
  6. My bad, 1st fish I've ever caught with water temps below 40......it was actually 38*. Should have said 1st fish with water temps in the 30's 😃 Yes, I misquoted, Water temp was 38*. Should have said 30's instead of 30.
  7. Been fishing a long time and not once have I caught a bass in 30* water. Today I caught 2 throwing a Zoom speed craw on a 3/8 Shakyhead..... they were cold and didn't fight much, well they weren't big either. 🌝
  8. Praying for you and everyone that was close to him.
  9. Wow, can only imagine. Praying for family and friends 🙏
  10. Big congrats on recovery and retirement. Hope you make the most of it, stay busy and fish a lot.
  11. I throw all jigs on casting gear, straight PowerPro braid.
  12. LM Spinnerbait Devil's Horse Jackall flickShake Jig Jerkbait SM Jerkbait Fluke Spinnerbait Zoom speed craw on Shakyhead Drop shot
  13. It really depends on water temps, time of year, time of day, spawn faze, water clarity , cloud cover and available cover. During prespawn, water temps in the 50's I may throw a jig all day. If the water is cloudy I may hang with a big 'ole spinnerbait. In the warmer months and fishing unfamiliar water is when I may have a deck full of rods and reels after I gave top water a shot. If you're looking for just an overall average during active months ? Personally, I start early with top water or you could say " power fishing " and always end up with some form of " finesse " .
  14. @Zcoker Spectacular
  15. Yes, big difference. Elway and Kelly were actually getting to Super Bowls. Dak and Lamar are losing at home to underdogs and haven't sniffed a SB.
  16. Completely unbiased and I mean it. Baltimore is the best team that lost, Lamar is a clone of Dak Prescott. AND no doubt that KC and Swifty win the SB.......no doubt.
  17. Mine stays in the boat and won't start the boat without it, the lanyard reminds me.
  18. We were MUCH more responsible and used extra virgin olive oil to treat the roads 😂
  19. Very similar technique, the mojo rig. I use a floating worm and 1/8 tungsten weight and mainly drag the bait.
  20. Perhaps not emulate but always open to advice and willing to learn. Example: Apon joining this site I was exclusively a power fisherman using mainly casting gear. Now I'm at least 50% spinning and 50% finesse...... it's put more fish in the boat.
  21. My experience as well. Was fishing Jennings Randolph on the WV/MD line just a few years ago, biggest hatch I've ever seen.
  22. BIA " boaters insurance agency " they only do boats.
  23. Super nice boat, congrats. The last few photos sent me on a headstand but I got them. 👍
