    New PB!

    Really good fish
  2. Let's see....um. Oh, did re-tie all fishing lines last evening. Ordered a manual inflatable life vest " Onyx" which this very forum prompted me to do so. Breaking out the pressure washer later today. Put frontline on the dog. Think I drank a whole bottle of Cabernet last night while star gazing around the firepit. Had friends stop by while the wife and I were playing Uno.....she ran them off aggressively, wow. We live in a remote location 1/2 mile off state maintained road, she wants NO visitors. Lol Wife and I are doing a lot of hiking in the GWNF behind the house. She's packing sandwiches now. Loaded boat for Monday's fishing adventure, throwing Magnum flukes and 10" worms. Have a great day.
  3. Yeah, you want to stay within your vehicles tow limits, payload being a major factor. You need to determine your vehicles towing capacity, payload and staying within its capabilities before you jump in. What is your TV ?
  4. Ha ha, Briery......thankyou sir.
  5. Going to a Lake Monday that's been producing several 8-10lb class LM, assuming ramp is open ?. I want to throw Magnum flukes in the stump fields just to see, got other plans to. Any luck with them? Work them similar to regulars? And got an extra frog rod 7.2 HF, should suffice? Thanks
  6. I use both but have much preferred uses for both. Anything being skipped under docks or cover like flukes and wacky, all spinning. Finesse fishing with light tackle "Ned", spinning. And of course many options work well with spinning or casting. Spinnerbaits, spooks, Jerkbaits are just a few examples that work much better on casting. Imo Not impossible to use spinning reels but a small leader is paramount when braid is main line due to front treble romance. Spinnerbaits which I throw a lot, want the blades spinning as soon as skirt touches the water, accomplished better with casting. Imo I recommend both for better experience on the water.
  7. I found something to do for the next couple of weeks besides fishing. Do you guys know what that is ?
  8. Braid ? Cheap guides? Yep.
  9. The bad spawns or should I say non existent spawns were do to very high murky water 2 years in a row here where I live in VA.....according to DNR. MUCH improved this year.
  10. Couple of weeks is our 35th anniversary......we're getting OLD. Congrats.
  11. Ethanol free for any engine that sits for extended periods. Additives aren't necessary.
  12. You've likely got a bad guide.
  13. I appreciate your concern for the well being of the fish we pursue, really do but de-barbing all my inventory? Bass a pretty resilient I've found.
  14. Remember those Patriots back then and they almost beat the undefeated Dolphins, 72 ??? Have a great deal of respect for greatness that was fortunate enough to witness many that Boston fans adored. From Bird, Yaz, big Papi, quite the list.
  15. Boston fans have tasted their fair share of success over the years......to say the least. Lol I don't see Burrow having another huge game.....I'm picking Clemson by 3
  16. Wow, can you do online counseling with my wife ? She's quite liberated. Just the other evening she ask me to take her someplace she's never been.....I politely escorted her to the kitchen. Oh yes, I have VA dogwoods blooming here and will be in hot pursuit.
  17. As an optimist, NFL will be on schedule. Be fun to see what the PATS do without Brady and what the BUCS do with him.
  18. As an avid sports fan I'm finding it hard to go without for this long. I follow many and NO march madness, NO spring training. Was really anticipating a LAKERS vs CLIPPERS best of 7. I understand the technicalities, just say'n.
  19. All I get is high and tight......or pulled for a pinch hitter. ?
  20. Remember it well even though I was 13 yrs old. It's what encouraged me to use nothing but quick fire Shimano spinning reels. Still have a few of the Syncopate spins.
  21. This isn't that difficult to understand, actually learned in 1st grade. The Virus is like a fire which requires a fuel source, we being the fuel can eliminate the fire by voluntarily removing ourselves.
  22. It's not a preferred method for what I'm doing this time of year but don't see myself abandoning the Ned for what it does when I do throw it.
  23. Glad you could share that unfortunate experience. Perhaps you could drag the area your baitcaster fell in.....on a calm day. Fishing yesterday was extremely frustrating from a kayak as the high winds elimate the fun factor and about everything I had tied on. Lol Better days ahead.
  24. I've been a pork trailer advocate for MANY years......bucktail is what we called our jigs back in the 70's for smallmouth. Still have some uncle Josh.
  25. You can stand but wouldn't consider it " fairly easy " . They do however make a standup bar for it .
