My dad and I usually have the best luck with the Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Worm and Trick Worm in Green Pumpkin, Texas rigged. Green pumpkin seems to be the most productive color. Black and Junebug can work. I've also caught fish on a Zoom fluke in smokin shad, also Texas rigged. Most times my rigs are weightless. Sometimes I'll insert a bit of nail weight to speed up the fall a bit. I have even caught a couple on jigs, but the best seems to be worm of your choice in green pumpkin. I've been reading and trying to learn bass fishin, here and other sites. I may be suffering from info overload. I've got a large tackle box with a bit of almost everything in it, but I seem to use my green pumpkin worms the most.

What is the trick to getting my lures, worms, etc. to hit the water without such a big splash. It's like i'm tossing a brick into the water every time I cast.
