  1. What have you guys found is the easiest way to stay on a weedline when flipping etc.? I have tried using my 2D and structure scan to stay on but I always end up way inside or way outside or lost because I don't know where it is, my only other thought is to side image it first? Thanks.
  2. Generally just over idle or about 3mph, I will try going a little faster next time and see what happens!
  3. I have been struggling to really figure out the side imaging on this unit and was hoping maybe someone could give me a good idea of what a weedline should look like on them and a general setting that seems to work for you? May have to adjust transducer angle. So far the side imaging has been completely useless for me. Thanks in advance.
  4. I live locally to castle rock (wisconsin rapids). The lake can be very tough to fish but if you find them it can be phenomenal. Since you will be in kayaks I would advise you to stick to the river on the north end of the lake, seems to be the highest concentration of fish up there generally. I Throw lots of black and blue out there, springtime you can be productive with rattle traps, and cranks on rocky inside river bends. Otherwise flipping into any piece of cover you find generally will work.
  5. Just bought a new to me 2015 ranger. Came with a Helix 7 DI at the bow and it’s linked to the Helix 7 SI at the console. Today had the boat out and the console unit would not display depth no matter what I did but the bow unit still shows it. Not sure what to do, any help appreciated!
  6. With trolling motors getting increasingly powerful, technologically advanced and not to mention expensive. What do you think the life span of these machines will be? Talking xi5, ultrex, ghost etc.
