  1. Been out three times the last two weeks, off the St Johns river, and only one bite total, and missed that. But tried Carolina rig both light and dark worms, dark deep dive crank baits , shallow dive crank baits, top water: stick, popper and frogs, tiied rattle traps, jigs with minnow tails, and even a salt water mullet lure. Normally dark worms work for me, or sometimes dark deep cranks, the only bite I had was on the jig. I am seeing fish on the sonar, I just can't get them to bite. Anyone have an idea what they are biting on now?
  2. I ended up going with a Lowe boat, not too much more than a Tracker, but seemed much better quality to me. Of course time will tell.
  3. Deep V is better cutting through rough water and generally has a higher person/weight capacity in the same length of boat, Mod V usually is more stable in calm water and better for standing and casting, also usually allows shallower water access. I just went through the same thing and bought a 17.5 ft Mod V. I don't plan on doing any rough water fishing. It has a 4 person capacity, but really is great for two, and only OK for three people fishing. But it drafts less than 2 ft.
  4. My wife and I are both Navy Vets, met when stationed at Pearl Harbor in 79/80.
  5. Trying to sign up. won't let me, keeps saying I did not pass the security check. asked my what the pointy thing attached to a lure is, but says hook is the wrong answer.
