  1. I did throw an A Rig on it for smallmouth and I wasn’t sure how I felt about it but most of that was the reel. I will definitely try it again after swapping reels
  2. What are you using for a reel? I have a Calcutta 100 on it now and I’m just not liking it so thinking about shuffling reels around or maybe just buy something new for it.
  3. Correct, and I realize this. Just wondering what guys would use it for specifically, Jig & Worm covers a lot lol also wondering what other techniques it may excel at? Largemouth are not abundant up here so it’s fairly new to me compared to smallmouth gear
  4. I recently picked up a 7’1” IMX-Pro JWR MH XF baitcaster, it was a pretty good deal and a bit of an impulse buy and now I’m not really sure what to use it for to maximize its attributes… What would this be best suited to?
  5. I’ve been eyeing this one up but haven’t been able to find much in the way of reviews or feedback. Anyone here using one of these that can comment on it? https://gloomis.ca/collections/imx-pro-series/products/imx-pro-bass-nrr
  6. https://www.kistlerrods.com/store/helium-3-light-med-heavy-7-3-fast-fishing-rod.html would this be the step up from the reel n feel?
  7. I’ve also been looking at the St. Croix legend glass 7’4” MH Moderate, has anyone used one of them?
  8. So I have a TW cart going right now with the Kistler and Dobyns in it and can’t decide on which one lol
  9. Yes, 8lb diameter not 8lb breaking strength
  10. Thanks, I will check them out the 8lb diameter superslick hasn’t given me any trouble on my chronarch and the Ike is either 8 or 10 as well
  11. $200-$260 it will either be a chronarch, Revo Ike edition or a Curado DC. The first 2 I already have and I will be picking up a DC next and will shuffle around with what I already have to see what fits where the best. most likely power pro superslick, in 8lb diameter. 6’11” - 7’5” at max, my center rod locket only holds 7’ but side holds up to 9’6” and I can shove over the Musky gear a bit it will be a pretty even split of the 3 to be honest, I’m fairly new to chatterbait fishing but have already had some decent results on the smallies with them and when I do get out for largies I will be doing a lot of searching to find fish, I will probably use it to throw cranks for bass and walleye and spinnerbaits for small and largemouth 95% of the time or more it will be 1/2oz as the heaviest bait thrown
  12. I really like the Loomis E6X’s but they don’t really seem to have a rod that lines up with what I’m looking for I’m still not sure about MH/Fast vs H/Moderate either
  13. What make of rod is the MH you just ordered? i work away 3 weeks at a time so you will probably get to use yours before I even get home and go looking lol
  14. I have a 7’ medium (I think or medium light) Falcon as well so I don’t mind going to a MH i won’t be getting into any real heavy slop or largemouths so I don’t think I need a heavy even though there seem to be a lot of them Also what are everyone’s thoughts on heavy moderate vs MH Fast?
  15. Which length of avidX are you using?
  16. I know this has been brought up here before and I’m sure a lot times lol im looking for a chatterbait rod that I will also be using for spinner baits and some cranking, I’m up in Canada and don’t have a lot of largemouth around me but there are some so looking for a multi use rod to save some space In the rod locker. right now I’m looking at St.Croix and G.loomis E6X mostly because of availability locally and saving on shipping charges. I've done some searches on here and haven’t heard of some of the brands never mind seen them locally in stores
