  1. $650 is a good deal for 7" Mega SI and including the Nav. I picked up G2 7" with Nav at Cabelas for $600, but it's not mega. On the 7" screen, I'm not sure how much difference Mega would make though... Anyone compared Helix 7" mega SI vs Helix 7" not mega (455kz)?
  2. thanks Dink. I'm going to keep the old DI and run a cable to the bow.
  3. Hello folks - I've been reading other posts on transducer mounting and haven't yet figured out a solution on my little skiff with a crowded transom. I picked up a HELIX SI at Cabelas and struggling with the best installation with the transom already crowded with a speedometer, Garmin DI transducer and stabilizer tab. Seems I may need to move a few things around and really want to get it right the first time. Any ideas? Based on the installation guide that came with the H'bird SI, it seems I'm gonna run into issues 1 or 2: 1) ensure 15" distance to the right of the propeller 2) ensure no obstructions in the view of the side looking beams. If I move the DI transducer to the left, would it be okay to mount the SI transducer directly to the right of the DI transducer as long as the SI was slightly lower to provide clearance? Any other ideas? Thanks!
