  1. Yup rolls 90 degrees with no reel holding the rod tip with a pivot point. I called Loomis and they sent me an email to fill out the warranty claim. I hope I don’t send this thing in for them to tell me it meets their specs.
  2. I just got an NRX+ 853c jwr while I was checking it out and bending the rod I noticed it is off spine and turns 90 degrees. The spiral X is supposed to stop the rod from twisting to much. Will this make it more prone to breaking? Does it even matter? It’s an expensive rod so it annoys me but if there’s no difference in performance I guess I can live it.
  3. Any differences between the jdm and US versions of the new bantam?
  4. How does the nrx 854 jwr power compare to an expride 7’2” mh or a champion xp 734? To me those to rods feel like what I think of as a medium heavy but in different actions and both r rated to up to 1oz. The loomis ratings have me a little confused with the 854 heavy rating up to 3/4 oz.
  5. I’m looking at getting the legend elite 7’4” heavy fast for some light flipping. Does anyone know if the elite has larger guides or if the guides on legend x have problems with connection knots passing through? I have a legend x 7’1” MHxf the guides look smaller and might not be so great for a connection knot with heavier line. I kinda prefer the full cork but it’s not a deal breaker and as long as a connection knot isn’t going to get hung up.
  6. ?From all the way up to half way up. I can turn the brake knob from max to 50% and it won’t turn anymore. I feel like if I put anymore pressure on it something is going to get damaged. Yes I’ve open the side plate nothing looks out of sorts. Looks pretty clean I’ve only used it 3 times.
  7. So I was adjusting one of my reels brakes today and decided to see how much resistance the max braking would have. After a few casts I went to turn down the braking and now it won’t go past halfway. I don’t want to force it. Anyone ever have this happen and is it fixable? Oh and the reel is a Lews Mach 2.
  8. Thanks for welcoming and help I ended up buying the Ehlers bladed jig rod.
  9. Been creepin on here for a bit and this is my first post. I’m looking for some advice. I fish out of a kayak and I like rods able to be used for more than one technique. I want to try a glass or composite rod for chatterbaits and 3,4,5 xds. I was looking at the Daiwa tatula elite Brett Ehlers 7’4” bladed jig rod.Anyone have any experience with it or have other suggestions. I’m also looking at getting an expride MH or maybe heavy in 7’2” or 7’6” for bottom contact not much heavy cover where I fish mostly lily pads if anyone has any input on that. One last thing I need a short frog rod under 7 ft. Fishing from a kayak I have trouble walking a frog and the rod tip hits the water. Tatula elite 6’9”heavy maybe a falcon bucoo or Jason Christie series 6’11” or anything else. Any help is appreciated thanks
