i have used a lot of weight less lures. i use a weight less senko the most and shallow crankbaits. but i want to use the drop shot as just another way to fish.. at this pond u will catch fish but the trick is to just try to keep your lure out of the weeds.
i fish a pond from the shore that has a good amount of weeds on the bottom. the pond is only 5ft. deep but has at least a foot of weeds on the bottom. so do u think that using a drop shot rig would help keep my bait above the weeds?
i like to use rat-l-traps in the fall. one thing i like about these baits is that u can use them many different ways, u can keep them shallow, run them deep, and i even trolled them a couple times with success ;D
well i use a swimbait color according to the type of bait fish the bass eat. so far ive found a couple softswim baits in a gizzard shad patteren that have worked well for me
i always peg my worms when fishin heavy cover.just make sure that when you rig the worm that it covers up the knot and the hook eye so that the weight can sit flush on the top of the worm once its peged
