Are you limited to Barkley or is travel to Ky Lake allowed? 25-30 lb for a single day isn't out of the realm of possibility.

There are a few of us around...just learning, observing and lurking Course, right now, I'm in a hospital bed recouping for total knee replacement yesterday

The first one of the year is just 7 weeks away! Should be an interesting place to fish. Ouachita River, out of West Monroe LA, March 14,15th. Pro/am format. $400/$200 Seems it's hard to get much publicity. When I won the LBAA Classic in October, it made the from page of ***, World Fishing Network and a few others. Was even named one of the top 12 fishing stories of 2013, with WFN. But other fishing websites seemed to ignore it. We NEED all the support we can get if the tour is gonna be successful! Please support us..on here, facebook or other sites. Men and women alike can help keep the LBAA name out there! Not sure at this point if I'll get to fish it or not. Had total knee replacement yesterday......will see. Sure would love to see more ladies that enjoy bass fishing participate! Next stop will be Old Hickory in May.

Riff Raff.....they let me in!!! To qualify, you have to be female. That's it. Pay the entry fee and go fish. We have ladies that fish one or two tournaments but can't make them all. You can go as "co" non-boater or like me and be a control freak and go as "Pro" or boater and bring your own boat. The co spots tend to fill up quicker. You can pay for more or more tournaments.

Ladies, I just wanted to throw an invitation out there. If you LOVE bass fishing and enjoy fishing with other ladies that feel the same. Consider fishing the LBAA Tour. It is such a blast! I can not tell you how different from the typical men's or co-ed tournaments. When Greg signed me up for my first one (against my wishes) I fished it because he had paid for it. I was hooked! We just finished season 3 and oh what a ride it's been. I'm have plenty of ups and downs. Including a lightning strike which stopped my husbands heart and fried a new staff boat but that is another story I have somehow managed to make the top 12 each year and this year was a come from behind winner in the Classic! What an honor and thrill for this nurse from Western Kentucky to fulfill a wish my daughter made me promise on her deathbed 8 yrs ago that I would "Live, Really Live not just be alive"! Feel free to message me. I'm kinda hard to catch by phone since I work 6 days a week but.....we will set up a time to talk if you want. Just wanted you ladies to be giving it some thought. It is such a thrill to fish with the likes of Pam Martin-Wells, Emily Shaffer, Kim Bain-Moore and all the others....we really are a family, come join us! 2014 schedule looks awesome.....West Monroe LA (Lake Ouachita) Nashville (Old Hickory) Ky Lake, I'm lookin at it now (Murray KY), then the Wildcard is on Lake Dardanelle at Russellville Arkansas, then the Classic is on Lake Logan Martin in Alabama.

I HATE spinning reels! That being said, I have one, finally. I refused to own one for many years. I'm much happier and feel like I catch lots more bass using baitcasters. I really love to teach ladies how to use a baitcaster. Men too can learn if they don't know how It is simply a matter of setting the reel to the bait. I often tell people that come in the tackle store, give me 15 min and I can have anyone using one. I've sold lots and lots of reels this way.

Hey gang....it's been awhile. KyakR, it was your post that brought me back. Greg showed me your post and I wanted to thank you for your response! I hope my "story" will encourage other ladies to "Live, Really Live!" Just to add interest......Greg and I met right here on BassResource over six years ago. Welcome to the site! As far as a reel....I'd go with a baitcaster also. They aren't that hard to use. I teach ladies and anyone else often at Fisherman's Headquarters how to use one. The chore is to set the bait drop. I'd be glad to try to answer your questions. I'm currently out of town fishing a ladies tournament. Send me a pm and I'll get back to you when I get home. Thanks guys! I'm lookin forward to it. We were supposed to come prefish it today but my knee is acting up and I've been ordered to stay out of the boat and in my brace. Kent....you'd better fish Priest....do you want to be the ones catchin the ladies fish ??????

The final tournament(before the championship) on the LBAA tour this year is on Old Hickory August 25&26th. There will also be a benefit tx on the 27th. I've never fished this lake, but this yr has been full of new experiences. It's been a blast getting to fish all these new places. I'm currently sitting in 10th place. I'm lookin forward to seeing all the gals again, it is such a great bunch to fish with!!!! If you're close to Nashville come on down to weigh-ins to be held at Flippers! I hate to see it end for the year.....championship is on KY Lake, Oct 6,7 and 8th. The top 20 Pro's and top 20 Co's plus one wildcard from each will be fishing that....Ky Lake can be VERY tough that time of the year.

Thanks guys!!! I'm having a blast fishing the LBAA. I wish more ladies would join us. It is so much fun, it's just a bunch of friends getting together and fishing. I'm looking forward to Old Hickory next month. We hope to make it down there and at least get familiar with it. Then our Championship tournament for the top 20 Pro's and top 20 Co's plus one wildcard draw from each. So there will be 21 boats.....and just where are we fishing ??? Kentucky Lake, October 6, 7 and 8th! No pressure there

Well, the results have finally been posted. As bad as I did on G'ville, I have still moved up in the points. Sitting in 10th place! WooHoo!!!!!!!

The price will be somewhere close to the Savvy series, and I'm sure....very worth the money

WRONG!!!! The ABA Coalition rods have nothing to do with the NRX. There is a new rod line being added but not yet. The ABA rods are much more charactistic of the SAVVY series (yes, I fish Dobyns and have all three classes of these rods....the Savvy, the Champion and the Champion Extreme) They are AWESOME rods, hands down my favorite I've ever used, including the GLX's I used for 3 yrs!

For those of you that like em and want some, they will be available (this just out from Gary Dobyns)to the general public. It will probably be fall. Pricing will be set soon but will not be champion or extreme pricing. So, for those of you that like em, get ready. For those of you that don't like em.........go spend ur $$$$ on what you like. Isn't it great to live in a country where we get to choose

Yep, we are leaving out Sat. Prefish Sun, Mon and Tue. Tournament is Thur and Fri. I've never been on G'ville.....should be fun. Of course I always think fishing is fun just sometimes better than others I don't know about Keri, she is fishing Old Hickory in August with us. Thanks for the well wishes!!!!

The word from FLW yesterday at the weigh in was that yes, he was reaching for an object rolling around in the floor. A very good friend witnessed the accident. He said they were NOT running full throttle, thank goodness. Both were alert after the impact. Shin had said on Sat at the weigh in that Sun is his birthday and he wanted to give himself the win as a birthday present. He may have given it away Wake up people and pay attention!!!

well, I told you so only goes so far....IT DID NOT WORK!!!, believe me, I tried!!!!!!! Yes, I completely changed, I had too. Could not get bit on what caught Thurs. Grass??? maybe....or LEDGES, yes LEDGES and I said I didn't like to fish em, didn't say I couldn't

What a week it's been. Fishing a clear deep lake has been a challenge but fun. I'm not used to being able to see the bottom 12 foot below the boat Yesterday, at 1:45 I had 2 small keepers in the boat (12in keepers) Knew I had to be on my way back to weigh in at 2:30.....Hit a spot and caught 2 more keepers again small but they count. Saw a bass swimming.....hum, could it be a late spawner? I made a cast and came up short, nerves Made another and in the bed it went, she turned on it but that's it. One more cast. It was wicked to watch her turn and pick up the bait. My co had the net in her hands before I set the hook. She was a 4lber. Ended the tourney in 11th place. Kim Bain-Moore won, Pam Martin-Wells took second. These ladies are so very much fun to fish with! Can't wait till Guntersville!!!
