  1. Worth an extra $50 not sure to me no but to you maybe. I’ve seen the tatula rods on sale for $109 before if you see them on sale then go for it. A lot of people seem to like the Dobyns fury rods I’ve felt them in store, not to bash them but they seemed a little too heavy to me maybe with a reel them would balance out. Also take a look at shimano curado rods. Look for sales go to stores see what you like. one persons “favorite”rod you may not like at all.
  2. I highly suggest getting a Daiwa tatula reel but if the lews or abu Garcia reels feel better to you then go for it and for the rod one person already suggested it but the ark viper is a great rod and I have a 7’ 2” heavy power and I like the rod so much I found my self throwing a jerkbait on it but another choice I like it the 13 fishing fate black 2 doesn’t seem like a lot of people suggest them but they are good Rods at tackle direct the 7’ 3” medium heavy and 7’ 3” medium are $49.99 now. if you can you should go to a tackle store and feel some rods and try some reels and pick what feels best to you
  3. Rapala shadow raps rapala shadow rap shad rapala original floating rapala husky jerks Berkley cutter 110
  4. Just got a tatula 150 and a ark viper rod
  5. Ark viper on tackle warehouse for $59.97 just got one
  6. Good list i only have 2 of the rods on your list that I can comment on I have 2 fenwick eagle spinning rods a 6’ trout rod and a 6’ 6” medium spinning rod and I have a 7’ quantum Escalade I bought in a pinch after a rod broke (my fault) and it’s been great ever since and I’ve had one of my fenwick eagles for 2 years and the other for about a month and there great rods, all the rods are your list should work well just pick what feels best to you.
  7. So does it handle stuff under 1 ounce easy? And how does it handle stuff up to 5 ounces ?
  8. i was just looking a little more and found the premier musky demo rods for $160. I’ve held and fished the regular premiers they don’t feel balanced to me and I’m not saying they’re bad rods or anything I’m saying I don’t prefer them over other rods thanks
  9. I’d like to buy new price range tops is around $120
  10. Hello As the title say I’m looking for either a 2 piece or travel rod. I was wanting a 7’ 3” to either 7’ 11” heavy power with a lure rating preferably 3/4 to at least 2 ounces wanna use it for big topwaters ,pitching, small swimbaits, and just mostly anything around heavy cover, the stuff my medium heavy 7’ 1” won’t cover I was looking at the okuma Citrix but the lure rating it 1-5 ounces maybe it would work for 3/4 ? I would hope to also use this for pike and possible when salmon start running. If you guys have any help it will greatly be appreciated. thanks
  11. Idk about the Ollie’s stores around you guys but my local Ollie’s has 25% off all fishing stuff and they have rick clunn lucky strike crank baits as well as luckycraft Sammy walking baits that are only $6:99 without the discount just picked some up myself ?
  12. Reeds family outdoor outfitters has the Daiwa sv tws is on sale for $127.99
  13. Are you talking about the Curado 70? I searched the bay and couldn’t find it
  14. I did end up trying lighter lures with it and ended up using a 1/8 ounce panther Martin spinner for small creek bass I was only casting around 15 yards but it was far enough to catch a bass
  15. I realized that I might need a new reel I think that I need a new reel because the Reel that is on the rod I have is a quantum smoke pt and the rod I have is a light power 6’ 6” rated 6-12 lb line and lure weight 1/16-3/8 oz should I find a new reel for it so I could throw lighter lures? What reel should I put on it ? I was thinking of using it for small crankbaits and jerkbaits and light trigs
