  1. What's wrong with these two? That's how I pronounce them...
  2. It absolutely can. I cast weightless flukes all the time on a baitcaster. They aren't exactly a bfs application unless you are talking the really tiny size.
  3. Do you have or install a drag clicker for this application? I have thought about using a bfs rod reel with a drag clicker for such things.
  4. The problem is that lures you are retrieving without much weight on them aren't really ideal with spinning tackle - That's why we have casting reels. Any time I have used heavy mono line on a spinning reel they are large reels that you throw out and let sit...for fish like carp and catfish.
  5. One thing you should always do IMO, with tension on the line after you make your cast and before you start the retrieve, is manually engage the bail. I see some people reel to trip it and that's asking for trouble.
  6. Yes. I posted the flyer in the sale thread here. I live 10 minutes away
  7. You should have come out to Wacky Worm - the last weekend of their sale is this weekend. 20% off everything! Welcome to the swimbait world. These companies make small batches and drop them- pretty much sell out each time. There are a few places you can find them but you have to be quick.
  8. I go there every few months just to look around...so I can buy things online. Their prices and lack of coupons leave a lot to be desired. I was just there last week and only spent 50 bucks.
  9. Definitely an h&h spinnerbait.
  10. I just got the following email which I thought was interesting. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ KastKing Fishing Tackle Now Sold At Tackle Warehouse KastKing, a mega-growth brand in the fishing tackle industry, expands online selling platforms to include Tackle Warehouse, a premier online shop for bass angling geared to fishing pros and bass tournament competitors. (For Immediate Release – March 3, 2020 – Garden City, Long Island, NY) KastKing (www.kastking.com) announced today that the KastKing brand will also be sold through Tackle Warehouse (www.tacklewarehouse.com) based in San Luis Obispo, CA. “We are thrilled and delighted to have some of our top-level KastKing products available at Tackle Warehouse,” says KastKing CMO Tom Gahan. “Tackle Warehouse has always been recognized as a top-seller of quality fishing tackle brands. There’s a lot we can offer each other. The fishing public can expect to see KastKing fishing gear at Tackle Warehouse by the conclusion of the 2020 Bassmaster Classic.” An impressive initial array of KastKing products will be available online at tacklewarehouse.com. Tackle Warehouse will be KastKing’s exclusive retail partner for the initial launch of the new KastKing Spirale Series of casting rods that were designed in conjunction with MLF Bass Pro Tour Angler Cliff Crochet. These new fishing rods feature spiral wrapped, American Tackle Microwave Air guides, two new blank constructions and are designed specifically for bass tournament and serious recreational angling. Also available at Tackle Warehouse will be KastKing Bassinator Elite baitcasting reels, KastKing Kapstan wide body casting reels, KastKing Crixus ArmourX baitcaster reels, KastKing fishing tools, KastKing KastPro braided fishing line and Kovert Fluorocarbon fishing line. Tackle Warehouse will also have the KastKing Speed Demon Elite baitcasting reel, which is the world’s fastest baitcaster with a 10.5:1 gear ratio, when they are released in April of 2020. “With the addition of the KastKing brand at Tackle Warehouse, we believe that we can offer incredible value and performance to the tournament angler,” says Al Noraker VP Business of Development for KastKing. “We continue to develop game changing quality and performance features and we’re confident that the Tackle Warehouse customer will appreciate the opportunity to buy KastKing through their favorite on-line source.” On January 22 of this year FLW (Fishing League Worldwide), the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, announced from Benton, Kentucky that the organization signed Tackle Warehouse as a title sponsor of the FLW Pro Circuit and as the official tackle retailer of FLW. KastKing sponsors several FLW anglers including: Spencer Clark who won First Place and $50,000 in prize money in the 2019 FLW BFL Regional Championship at Grand Lake. Other KastKing Pro Anglers include Jake Ormond, Matt Adamson, Nicholas Wink, Justin Nowlin, Jason Pittman, Michael Hendricks, and Randy Ruffin. Acquired by MLF (Major League Fishing) in late 2019, FLW is expanding its programming in 2020 to the Outdoor Channel and the Sportsman Channel as well as on-demand at MyOutdoorTV (MOTV). MLF Pros Brent Chapman and Cliff Crochet are on the KastKing team for the MLF Bass Pro Tour Series. Scott Thomas, KastKing Product Development Manager says, “It is an honor to partner with one of the premier online retailers in the fishing industry. Tackle Warehouse has become one of the most trusted retailers for avid anglers and our excited consumers will now be able to find their favorite KastKing products online at Tackle Warehouse.”
  11. Crappie: I call them Crap-ee Rapala: I say ruh-paul-la Daiwa Fuego: I say die-wah foo-way-go Its hook? I also say Huk and I have 5 or 6 shirts... I have a tendency to call them rubber worms. My whole family did growing up and it stuck.
  12. So far I have 8 - 2 Akylos Casting rods, 1 Akylos Spinning, 2 Cypress Casting, 1 Brute, 1 SpIce rod and 1 Kranken.
  13. One that really gets under my skin, that I hear all kinds of new people using, is "chew" or any variations thereof. I have shut videos off when they say a bass chewed a lure. I dont know why, but I hate it with a burning passion.
  14. I have had this one for the past 3 years. It has been great and been through hell and back. I have been very hard on it and it hasn't had any failures. It holds 3 3600 size boxes in the bottom and has a lot of room above where I keep a couple binders with soft plastics and other things. I have a bunch of extra 3600 size boxes and switch out the ones I need for the day. https://www.cabelas.com/product/CABELAS-ADVANCED-ANGLER-BACKPACK/2398196.uts?slotId=1
  15. I am going to come out and say, I dont think a lot of those aforementioned lures/techniques are new. To me most of them are just refinements on old techniques. I am finding myself using the ned rig but I was using ballhead jigs and curly tail grubs 20 years ago to catch bass when conditions were tough - elaztech and the jig shape are minor adjustments but still getting the same point across. I was using a whopper popper 20 some years ago too for musky in the form of a top raider(still works better than a whopper plopper IMO). It's cool to see these "new" baits come around but I am sure some of the older people have seen a lot of these before...
  16. I don't know what the laws are and what permits I may need for shipping live pets from Pa to Tn, but I have this Monkey I am looking to get rid of...
  17. Ok, so I got the final reel today - the updated Lexa HD 300 in a 6.3:1 ratio for swimbaiting. I was really looking forward to this overdue update! Anyway, I am still trying to figure out how I blew my budget away for the next few months in a week... lol. I am excited to use the Tatula 150p, a 5.5:1 ratio crankbait reel. Btw, not pictured which I also got was 6 more rod socks and some line.
  18. With 30 pounds, on any lake, you have to feel good about your day. I cant even fathom catching 1 10 pound bass, let alone 5. In a day.
  19. I have 3 kids. I am sure they could hook you up with some interesting paint jobs. I will throw on some vilest coat spray for free, so they dont wear out in a week.
  20. The old terminator Indiana blades. You used to be able to buy them separate but they are long since gone.... They are my favorite.
  21. Is sounds like you may need to send your reels out to DVT unless you are well rehearsed in tearing them down yourself. To answer your question there are a lot of things that can cause that...reels dont always need it but I find less problems if you, at a minimum, tear them down once a year and clean them up. Metal shavings, dry bearings or bushings, too much grease...there are many things but without tearing it down, it's hard to tell.
  22. Are you interested in selling it?
