  1. I rarely throw over 10# test for bass.
  2. You ever buy any bladed jigs?
  3. More than a week, less than I probably need...
  4. I swear this is the last time I will be posting in this thread for a while...
  5. You can watch the classic right on the site.
  6. I am using 30# maxquatro which is already pretty thin. The leader I am using is at least 10' long. I will throw on new hooks and give it a whirl on straight fluoro tomorrow. The 3 I have tried are definitely floating. The water is relatively cold (39 degrees). I am working them pretty slow.
  7. I am using 30lb braid to an 10lb fluoro leader. The regular visions, the +1's and 2's have all worked great. I like the smaller size for the small bass I catch and trout.
  8. I have 7 or 8 Vision 110 Jr.'s and so far they are a huge disappointment. Out of the 3 I have tried in cold weather, they float. I am not talking about a slow rise, but they come right to the surface. I tried these with the stock hooks to see how they are...even when you crank it, it only gets down to 2 or 3 feet. I got them to present a different offering than the pointer 78's that work very well and easily get down and suspend at 5 feet. I can put on some heavier hooks and tweak it but for 20 bucks it should work out of the package. Has anyone else had this issue?
  9. Let me refine my answer...I only buy name brand fluoro. It usually ends up being Trilene, Vicious, Seaguar and Vanish. I know people complain about Vanish, but it's never failed on me.
  10. I simply use whatever is on sale. I have never seen a big difference in fluoro - it's all a PITA and I only use it for leaders.
  11. 7'3" Daiwa MH Tatula XT with a Daiwa Tatula CT Type R 8.1:1. Straight 30# Braid. I will say that I have learned not to jerk like a crazy man though. With a fast tip and that power you can easily rip it right out without hooking up.
  12. In the trunk of my car I have a small back pack...also have a 7' telescopic spinning rod and a 7' telescoping baitcaster. My EFK is strong.
  13. Field test completed and batch production started! Dear KastKing Fans, We appreciate your patience while waiting for our KastKing Speed Demon Elite baitcasting reels. Our whole team has been working hard on the new breakthrough baitcaster reels. Here’s the latest update for you. We’ve completed all the field test in February. Two of our Top Anglers, MLF Pros Brent Chapman and Cliff Crochet, used the reels for quite a while. They’ve given our engineering team some feedback and we’ve made a couple of small adjustments. As of now, we are confident to say the approved final reels are ready to go into production! However, there is some bad news. As you are aware, the deadly Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is breaking out all over the world now, which has had a huge impact on the global supply chain. Some of our suppliers in China and Asia cannot deliver some parts and components on schedule due to the severe epidemic. Furthermore, the logistic companies, such as Fedex and UPS, are being affected a lot as well. Many flights are cancelled, and shipment delays occur. Although we are working around the clock trying to limit the impact, the situation is really out of our control. Now, with diligent communication, we worked out some solutions with our suppliers. We will finish the production for right-handed reels by the end of the end of April, which will be one month later than our original plan. We are sorry about what happened. We really appreciate your understanding. Thank you again for all your support! Best Regards, KastKing
  14. I guess you dont own any megabass? Lol.
  15. I use their fluoro and it's been good to me.
  16. If Rapala's are over priced what do you call Megabass?
  17. I usually do an albright. They are just easier for me than an Uni.
  18. The Zman Floating Wormz float the best but rigging them is a PITA. But once you get them rigged, they last forever. Keep in mind, you want the ones without salt if you want a true floater!
  19. This guy. We have an Ollie's that opened a while ago and I never, ever go in there... I did today.
  20. What are they then? I have only ever heard it pronounced that way and I have been fishing for Muskie for 25 years... Ok, that makes sense. I dont pronounce it like that...
  21. I just looked at my topwater boxes which dont include frogs, buzzbaits or any soft baits - 72. I am not going to count more because topwater baits are my least amount.
  22. This would be ugly
  23. The answer to your question is simple...catch more fish.
  24. Sounds like you need a high speed reel. Like a baitcaster. What rod and reel are you using? If the line roller is a piece of crap it can cause a lot of problems.
