I have these Zappu 1/16oz Tungsten that are pretty good.

Depends on what profile you are looking for and how you want to fish it. Savage Gear shine glide is a cheaper option in a shad profile. The swaver 200 is a cheaper option that sinks faster. The Sneaky Pete is a bit cheaper but sinks a lot faster.
The draw has pretty good action/sink rate. 75 isn't a lot for a glide bait though.
I live on the wild side- I throw lighter than most people. I run braid to leader on almost everything. If I am throwing a jackhammer, spinner bait or something, it's usually on a 10 lb leader, sometimes 8. If I am fishing a jig, it's on 15# fluoro.
No. Honestly, Isopropyl Alcohol is the best for me. I use mineral spirits and acetone some times and don't really see any difference between them. Alcohol is a lot less toxic.
But from a marketing perspective it makes sense. When someone sees the rod, they know exactly what it is - kind-of like the bright white Ducketts.
I don't mind the T2 colored Daiwa rods - they certainly aren't my favorite color but they are good rods.
IDK, I have seen many times where they are hammering other sift plastics and not the senko.
Case in point - Bluegill shaped soft plastics. 5 other guys were fishing a local community lake with Senkos and other things- I was fishing berkley gillies and caught over a dozen decent sized bass in short order. Also, salamander shaped baits are some of the worst in my neck of the woods because we have so many red-spotted newts that are toxic so they shy away from that profile.
But overall, the senko is probably the most consistent.
The best way I know of, is to use braid as the majority of the backing since it is lighter. Once you have it spooled up let out as much line as you would ever use and put a piece of tape on the line and reel the rest back up.
