  1. This is the answer - it's highly subjective and changes depending on the conditions.
  2. Gliders, Gliders, and jerkbaits.
  3. Personally I hate the S Waver. On a MH rod I would choose a pistol pete but that's more of what I would call a twitch bait. There aren't many glides that throw well on a mh rod. And the ones that do lack the drawing power that makes a glider work well IMO.
  4. If it isn't right, it's wrong. I have the Tat 100 and 150 in 5.5 for crankbaits- I didn't know it wasn't made for lefties.
  5. I said Shimano Hot N Tot because it has a blue Shimano on each side of the bait. I used to use hot n tots for Walleye in lake Erie years ago.
  6. I acquired this Shimano crankbait with a metal bill. Looks like a hot n tot to me - anyone know anything about it?
  7. Find the hole - if it is at one of the pieces of hardware you need to remove it, drill it out and fill with epoxy and redrill. If it is a crack, you are in trouble. The other option is to drill a decent size hole and fill it with spray foam and then seal the hole with epoxy.
  8. I consider tightlining a vertical presentation and it surely isn't directly over the side of the boat...
  9. Sooo...Doyo. Besides that we have Sixgill which makes a US reel and that new company Bates.
  10. I think they are 6 mm but I bought a whole bunch from this site: https://backwateroutfitting.com/
  11. 5# or 7# Shooter up to 10# if there are sharp rocks.
  12. Bringing this post back from the grave! I imagine the setup is no longer new. Lol
  13. Where are you at? I am also in Carbon County and frequently fish Beltzville.
  14. For 18 each I have to try them. Probably end up giving them to a kid though.
  15. I buy a lot from this guy - great stuff
  16. What about those jerkbaits that are hardbodied with a soft tail? Which one do I get?
  17. I have seen some 1.5 pounders caught on the ned and many panfish.
  18. I prefer to not use a spinning setup. But spinning reels hold way more line than is necessary for bass fishing when I am using 10# braid. Considering spool weight doesn't mean anything for a spinning outfit, the weight and balance doesn't mean anything so just tape it to the spool. As long as braid lasts - just tie it to the spool and tape it. When the spool starts to get low, swap the line around and add a little mono filler to plump it up.
  19. If you can believe them... I don't.
  20. Call a good divorce attorney first.
  21. What brand rod? Everyone's definition of fast and extra fast is a little different. But overall a heavy extra fast rod, for me is good for heavy jigs.
  22. My wife doesn't laugh - she shakes her head and tells me I have mental problems. I like to night fish and my in-laws can't believe I would be out fishing at night. My wife tells them how ridiculous if a person I am for getting up at 2 am to go fishing for 3 or 4 hours before work...
  23. I would just as soon switch to Zebcos. I despise egg beaters... The big downsides are less accuracy and casting control.
