Lews super duty wide spool super tuned with Hedgehog bearings. 65 lb 832 on a og tatula 7’4 frog rod. It’s ridiculous how far I can throw a hollow belly frog.
I use 2 rods for t rigs one is a 7’3 tatula elite multi purpose for sparse cover. And the other is a OG tatula 7’2 heavy for heavy grass. I like a stiffer rod to snap my bait out of the thicker grass.
My ninja grass blade was on for 7 years with the 2 sided tape i put that thing through some slop and pads every trip. I sold that boat so I don’t know if it is still on. I have a new ninja grass blade sitting here that I will be putting on my new boat Saturday when I pick it up from the dealership I will use the tape again. Prep is very important
I honestly think you need both spot lock and poles. spot lock for anything over 6 ft and poles for shallow water.?if I’m trying to flip a reed patch that’s in 4 foot my spot lock is going to wash it out trying to hold my position. That’s just me tho
Most definitely will have a keel shield before I leave the dealership. The body shop I talked to actually said it’s easier to repair then solid color gel as it would be easier to blend. I don’t know if that’s true but if it’s damaged to the point of fixing it insurance will pay for it anyways
heres a close up of the one I looked at.
This is the one I seen at the dealership it looks amazing in person.

No I’m referring to the bottom of the boat I seen one in person and it looked very good. So I ordered it on my Phoenix. My old Lund impact had a vapor mist paint it was a gunmetal with flake, but that was paint over aluminum. I was just looking for input from bass boat owners.
Hands down the bass pro crankin stick 7’10 mag heavy is the best budget rod for those weights . I used all last year throwing a 6” bullgill it’s loads up excellent and it’s only like 100 bucks. I have a Dobyns 795 sb I like the crankin stick better. And I can afford expensive rods but when something works why pay more.
I don’t know where you are or forage in the water your fishing. But for me I would stay my morning with a 9” slammer then switch to a 6” bullgill. That bullgill caught so many big bass for me last season.
