  1. John L Morris has bought many competitors and discontinued a lot of them. Bass Cat, Skeeter and Phoenix are about all of the major glass companies that White River Marine Group does not have.
  2. I don’t think you will get the paint job to last unless you powder paint them. At least that is the only way that has worked for me.
  3. They don’t all carry the same things. 100 miles north of here there is a major Nitro dealer. He also sells Ranger and Triton but I’ve never seen a tin boat there.
  4. Your title should give you all of the pertinent info.
  5. The price point is normally due to the electronics, trolling motor, and outboard motor. Mostly they are smaller and less powerful, ergo cheaper. I have had both. Imo Low is several grades up.
  6. The Avid isn’t a bad choice. I have 2 of them on Shimano 2500 reels.
  7. I like craws and baby brush hogs trigged.
  8. What bait are you using? What kind of line? How heavy is the sinker?
  9. Go ahead and put the asgps puck on. It will be the most accurate for you. I have 3 Solix units. If I had do overs I would have Helix units. When I switched to Humminbird from Lowrance I was used to touch screens so I chose the Solix. One of them is in dash. It has been back 3 times for repair. One of the bow units had to go back because the touch screen quit working. Now I get gps lost alarms every trip. I had the asgps puck changed out. It didn’t help. No one has any idea how to fix the problem. The shop that does my electronics work says they have several customers like me. The Helix seems to be the reliable work horse. If you want the latest greatest the Apex is brand new. There are good reads about Solix on ***.
  10. Welcome to the forum. Where in MO are you.
  11. I just looked at mine. I have some dating back to the 70s. All I could find was on some of the very oldest ones, nothing. On others maybe as old, maybe not, Wiggle Wart. And on the newest ones, Storm. Does this help you?
  12. I use 6, 8, and 10# on reel size 1000, 2000, and 2500 respectively.
  13. I tie my own in many color patterns.
  14. I just put it on a piece of paper and use scotch tape as well as entering it in my excel file on cleaning and maintaining reels.
  15. I do mine as needed. As soon as one is not up to snuff I put it aside and clean it before the next trip.
  16. Check the sewing section. That is where I get mine.
  17. When I buy instead of make spinnerbaits the brand is War Eagle.
  18. Sounds like a good way to die just like a couple of guys did here a few years ago.
  19. Not to mention the price difference. The last 5000 hooks that I have bought are EC.
  20. Charlie Brewer’s sliders. They are good for lmb, smb, spots, eyes, and whites. They are super when fished on windy days.
  21. I have switched from Mustad to Eagle since Mustad’s quality took a nose dive.
  22. Barlows Tackle might have something that would work for you.
  23. There is another major forum site with all kinds of lithium battery information. The filters won’t let me identify it.
  24. I don’t but my son-in-law does and my best friend did everything with a spinning setup.
  25. I can’t speak to the wiring but on the batteries you need batteries of the same age for the trolling motor. You system is only as good as your weakest battery.
