  1. Have you considered shortening the shaft?
  2. I don’t make them but it looks like they may take a special hook. You can get sevalon or surflon coated wire in any size you want. If the area isn’t rocky or snaggy you might want 45# test or you could go to 60# or even 90#. I use all three. As for lead just use what you have or can easily get.
  3. Sold
  4. Small jigs I don’t use anymore. $15 tyd.
  5. For the last month the smallmouth and largemouth have been in 2-5 fow on Table Rock and Stockton.
  6. I keep most of mine in boxes. Only a few are in original packaging. I see no problem with them.
  7. I have no idea where I could find a mechanic who knows how to work on one. The techs around here are Merc factory trained, besides I run a 250 already.
  8. On a side note: I fixed crappie last night and sliced and fried 4 green tomatoes. They were yummy.
  9. I am very particular about how I lay mine down I stagger them and make sure the tips are separated. I can easily have 4 per side. They are checked and strapped down before I move the boat. I rarely have them tangled. One of my fishing buddies piles his up on both sides. He almost always has them tangled.
  10. They are some of my favorites. We’ve been getting ripe ones since mid June. I have a couple of ladies who start them for in their greenhouse. I plant them as soon as the last frost date.
  11. I don’t mind both. I think they increase the wobble. I use snaps (very good heavy duty) on spinnerbaits, jerk baits, cranks and spoons. Mine have never come open. Sometimes I have to use pliers to open and close them.
  12. I would like to know more. My research is getting me nowhere. Can you post some links?
  13. Well it was as you figured when we connected last week. I am sorry that it is totaled. If I see anything that I think you might be interested in I will let you know. I assume that you want a 20’. Single or double console? A lot of times my 20’ sled is barely enough to be out there with all of the ski boats, wake boats, surf boats and 500+ boat tournaments.
  14. White River Marine has also done it in some plants like Tracker, Triton and Ranger. I haven’t heard anything about Nitro yet.
  15. LMB for sure. Here is a spot.
  16. Right now we can’t get any fish on plastics and we have tried lots of techniques. If it isn’t a jig or swim bait there doesn’t seem to be a reason to go.
  17. I’m not sure you can get a setup for that money that will be easy for a beginner. Good luck.
  18. Try the Pitzen.
  19. We had one of those tough bite days yesterday. Jigs are the normal bait in the clear waters of Beaver Lake in North Arkansas. We fished several different weights, trailers and colors. Nearly no bites. We switched to Carolina rigs, Neko rigs, drop shot, Ned rigs and top waters. Among the tries was finally swim baits. They worked but only in the 2.8” size. They saved the day for us. So plan on having several things to try until you find the one that works.
  20. I recommend a 20’ or longer.
  21. Today it was 2.8 or stay home. I started with the 3.3 got bites but couldn’t hook up. My partner was using 2.8 and catching. I switched and started catching. Color wasn’t an issue but size sure was. They were 25-40’ deep. We caught lmb, spots, stripers, and whites.
  22. I carry 2.8, 3.3, and 3.8 because you never know what size will be working the best.
  23. You can go to the Minn Kota site and see what Garmins will work with the US2 transducer. While there you can research the trolling motors to see which ones do what you want to do.
  24. I use that speed for shaky, Ned and swim baits.
