  1. What works best for me is to take 2 acetaminophen 500s before I go to the lake and another 2 more in 6 hours. Otherwise I’ll hurt all day and all night. If it still bothers me I coat it with lidocaine before bed.
  2. You evidently fish the Ned differently than I do. I stay with light heads (1/8) and under, mostly (1/16). I can’t imagine a medium rod working well for me. How do you fish it so that you need that much rod or lots of sensitivity?
  3. There is a place in Springfield MO called Clear Cast that works on electronics.
  4. They are offering a 1000 count so I’m guessing that they have a bunch. There will be 6 of us using out of mine. I hope Victory or some other company comes out with other sizes of hooks. We have a local guy who makes a similar jig, Jades Jigs. I’m using some of his with a 2/0 on baby brush hogs.
  5. Hooks for the weedless Midwest Finess mold. They are back in stock at Barlows. I ordered me 400 last night.
  6. The GLX is stiffer than the IMX therefore it doesn’t cast as far. I’m sure it is a personal thing but it gets fished less than the IMX.
  7. Most of the time I carry my Uncle Henry Stockman but have others in the boat.
  8. With that trolling motor and 2 good 31 series 225 rc batteries you should be able to go all day. AGMs are more costly but way easier to manage.
  9. I looked into that because I had 12 ponds and wanted to stock some of them. A MO Department of Conservation biologist told me to keep a good balance that I would need to keep 20 bass per acre per year and throw back all perch.
  10. It would be interesting to know make and voltage of the OPs trolling motor.
  11. It the rod that matters not the reel. I’ve used 3.8:1 up to 7.4:1.
  12. There aren’t many battery manufacturers out there. I have used several brands and found most of them to be satisfactory. I used to run Optimas exclusively but the last set weren’t that good. The single most important thing to look for that will keep you on the water the longest is RESERVE CAPACITY. I don’t want anything less than 200 minutes. My current set has 245 rc each. Yesterday I used them fishing into a 15 mph wind for 5 hours and they showed no drop in power.
  13. I have a Gloomis GLX MBR 844 c and a Gloomis IMX MBR 844c I use them for 1/2 oz jigs and 1/2 oz spinnerbaits with 15# fluorocarbon line. I like the IMX better than the GLX. In fact I wish both were IMXs.
  14. I don’t usually have much luck with them until later on. Generally speaking it is December through March for me.
  15. Here in MO we see smb with red eyes quite often and a lot of spots and goggle eyes also have them.
  16. The last time I did a switch was to windows 8. It killed my computer. The Geek Squad at their Louisville location couldn’t even fix it. I had to trash it and most of the files couldn’t even be recovered. Now I just buy a new computer and have the files transferred by the Geeks.
  17. I have 2 big rod lockers. I carry 12 bait caster setups and 8 spinning setups. I normally use some of both on most every trip. I don’t really prefer one over the other I let the situation dictate what to use.
  18. I’m not sure if it is the same one but a friend of mine invented one, got a patent then sold it to Johnny Morris.
  19. Your reading at 12.3 volts is probably correct. They are about 50 % discharged and that is not good. You didn’t state the size of the batteries. With today’s electronics you need really good strong batteries. I had lots of trouble keeping my cranking battery up running Lowrance HDS Gen 3 units. I had to jump start if I stayed on a bank more than an hour. They would completely kill the cranking battery in a year. My solution was a Batteries + bulbs X2 1150 cca 225 rc agm cranking battery.
  20. I’ve used them on heavy bumper pull campers but never heard of them on a bass boat. A little more info is needed here like the size of the boat and trailer as well as the tow vehicle.
  21. My favorite is double holographic willow for tandem and hammered for single spins.
  22. It was 39° here and I made baits for tomorrow, sunny south wind at 10 mph temps 47-74. I think I can handle that.
  23. This isn’t salt water, just a lake. Right now a green pumpkin 1/2 oz football jig with a spring craw trailer has been best.
  24. I don’t use anything except the 1/2 size. I like firecracker, bleeding shiner and golden shiner.
  25. Pm smalljaw and cadman. If anyone knows it would be one of them.
