  1. I don’t know about the eagle. I have 7 hmg rods. They get the job done.
  2. My experience is that my doctor didn’t make a big enough deal out of it to get me to change. My vertebral arteries clogged up and I had a stroke. I wound up in a rehab hospital undergoing therapy learning how to speak and walk properly. My right one is 100% clogged and the left one is 70%. I now have a twice daily regimen of meds to keep my blood pressure and cholesterol under control and blood thinners to help prevent another stroke. It isn’t something to take lightly.
  3. Anything you see is history. If you have the amplitude scope active that is current.
  4. There aren’t many battery manufacturers. Several brands are produced by the same company. Just get a marine cranking battery and keep it charged. Check your motor manual for recommended ccas. Then get a battery with more.
  5. Smoked is my favorite way to eat walleye. I don’t skin or even scale them. I fillet them, take out the ribs and lateral bones. A little olive oil and some lemon pepper is all I use.
  6. Same results here from oatmeal.
  7. I’ve tried some of my Ned setups and they don’t cut it. I am fishing lay downs and need to keep the boat farther out than the tree tops but still almost reach the bank. I looked at Bass Pro today and only got confused.
  8. Clayton BPS 100 mph is the only ones I have ever had that kept me dry but they aren’t for summer days.
  9. I haven’t ordered from them for quite a while. The last time was slider grubs but I can get them locally now.
  10. I don’t like plastic and I don’t like checks. I normally carry at least $500 plus small bills. If I see it and want it I want to have enough to pay for it.
  11. Yes I have them and yes I use them. When I lube a reel I make several casts with one. When I put on new line I normally cast a few times
  12. In order to get the most out of today’s trolling motors and electronics they need to be compatible. So if you are going above the basic models you need to research both trolling motors and sonar/gps units. I used to run Motor Guide and Lowrance. They worked well together. I now run Minn Kota and Humminbirds. They also work well together.
  13. You need to divide your 6 1/2 by 2. If you are drawing 15 amps you have 3 1/4 hours of safe run time. If you draw a lead acid more than 50% you can do irreversible damage to it and shorten its life.
  14. I may be in the minority here but there is only one alcoholic beverage that even comes close being a preference for me and that is a light beer, preferably one made in Colorado ot St. Louis, MO. I’ve never found a wine that I really like and I have tried lots of it. I don’t drink slow enough for the hard stuff and I think I have tried most of it.
  15. You left out some pertinent information. Does the battery stay in the boat or do you have to take it in and out? Do you use a trailer for the boat?
  16. Chukar is as good as quail with more meat. I’ll take either.
  17. I have owned both. I now own a Nitro Z20. I was all set to buy a Ranger. I thought we had a deal made until they offered me 30% below the trade value on my Champion. I left and just happened to drive by a Nitro dealer. I pulled in and looked at some boats. I found a Z20 comparably equipped to the Ranger. The dealer had it priced $21,000 less than the Ranger and gave me full trade in for my Champion. So I bought it.
  18. Me too.
  19. One of my knives is an Old Timer. They are pretty good.
  20. Nope. Not a thing. I guess that came from my father. If he could make a profit, it got sold. He sold homes and businesses and moved 52 times in 35 years.
  21. Ned is my version of ultra lite; 1/16 and 3/32 oz jig heads with TRDs.
  22. Doesn’t Red Green wear flannel?
  23. I acquire not collect. Everything that I have is replaceable if someone is willing to pay for it. I don’t like old stuff. My wife likes antique stores. I refuse to go in and look at old junk. I stay in the car and read.
  24. I use a custom built 7.5’ rod with a Curado 70 and 12# fluorocarbon line. I’m guessing that it is probably a medium (MHX 903 blank with CRB elite guides #524 and a Fuji reel seat). It also does a decent job with crank baits.
