  1. Very interesting. I hadn't thought about swimming the poisons. Those are really nice looking jigs BTW.
  2. Yes your ff goes to one battery only. As for the 29 series batteries they should be worlds of juice. Do you know how many reserve amps (reserve capacity) they have?
  3. Here is what I use.
  4. The last time out the water was 36° and we caught all of our bass in less than 10 fow.
  5. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I am going rod shopping in the morning.
  6. Yes you will lose some sens but I doubt you will notice it. You can install a switch and have the best of both worlds with xducer in both places.
  7. I normally do but have a wrist injury which won't allow all day fishing that way. I need something that I can trade off every hour or so. I do a bit of left hand spinning casting but am not a good hook setter with spinning lefty.
  8. I need a bc rod that will allow me to fish 3" grubs with 1/8 and 1/4 oz heads on 6 or 8# line. This is way out of my league. The lightest power I own is a MH. I only need one rod and only want to buy one rod but don't have a clue. Here are three I thought might do the job but I really don't know. G.Loomis SMR811S-SP Bronzeback 6'9" Light G.Loomis SBR811C Spinner Bait Rod 6'9" Light G.Loomis BSR801 Mossy Back Jig/Worm 6'8" Med-Light
  9. It all depends on your units. If they can't be networked and are Lowrance then there is a switch that allows both to run off one xducer but you have to switch them. If they are Lowrance and can be networked and etherneted then you can have both looking at the same xducer at the same time. I have 2 units and 3 xducers. I can have them looking at any of the three at the same time. One is primary and the other is slave.
  10. A woman who has been willing to work 40-50 hours each week to feed my habit.
  11. That is the only color Power Pro that I have ever used. In really clear or shallow water I use a leader but I have only seen adverse effects in January and February here in MO without the leader.
  12. If you want to get a first hand look, go to a battery mfg site like exide and look at their battery comparative specs.
  13. If you can't find anyone here, I'll bet you can at www.tackleunderground.com
  14. The 27 series with give you about 15-25% more amp hours and reserve capacity than the same battery in a 24 series.
  15. I'm with Catt on this. I have 6.5' and 7' MH rods and I'll take the 7s most of the time.
  16. Not unless you have a bad trolling motor.
  17. What is the pressure at idle? What is it at wot?
  18. I must be a lucky guy then. I got 6 years out of my cranking battery on my 225 Optimax and it was still going strong when I gave it away and bought a new one.
  19. DIs require more juice so get at least a 27 series cranking battery with at least 800 CCA. You don't need a dual purpose you need cranks.
  20. A lot of guys with a 36v tmotor only use 3 batteries. You can do that if you have and EFI. If you have a DI then you need a cranking battery as the DIs need more juice to start them. As long as you get a crank with 800+ CCA and tmotor batteries with 200 reserve amps then you would not need more than 4 batteries unless you plan to spend more than 24 hours on the water with no trips to the bank.
  21. I assume that you are ordering from one of the retail stores. If so then it is probably the marine accessories department. I'd call and ask for the manager of that department. If he/she isn't in get their name and ask to be transferred to customer services. Tell them your problem and that you want to speak to the accessories dept mgr as soon as that person is next in the store. Leave a number and tell them you expect a call. Also ask for the store general manager's name.
