  1. 3/8 and heavier or they don’t get close to the bottom.
  2. I’m not sure how many total setups I have. Right now I am carrying 20 in the boat, 10 bait casters and 10 spinning though I can’t use the spinning because I can’t grip the rods with my right hand. I am awaiting surgery in 3 weeks to correct the situation. I don’t have a go to as that depends what I plan to do. Lately that has been shaky. My favorite shaky is a Curado 70 on a 7.5’ All Pro Atlantis rod with 12# fc.
  3. The size will depend on how you use it. I recommend size 27 or larger. Be sure it is a deep cycle not a cranking battery. Reserve capacity is the key to how long it will last on a trip.
  4. My backup truck is a 2001 Chevy 2500. It is backup for three generations and gets about 1000 miles per year. I bought it 20 years ago and have no plans to replace it.
  5. I got it playing golf 7 days a week. The best thing I could find was a band around my arm just below the elbow.
  6. X2 on the compatibility issue.
  7. How about LPO?
  8. It depends on how early I get on the water. If real early I use a spinner bait and fish shallow. Otherwise I set out in deep water, cast toward shallow and fish back to deep trying to get bites and determine the depth range.
  9. I use hydrochloric acid on my motor. The cheapest is toilet bowl cleaner. I normally use Purekleen.
  10. I do not but my guess is that it changes depending on who gets the contract.
  11. Lithium may not work with a charger of that age. If not then the North Star X2 is probably your best choice. Batteries +bulbs carries it under their label. That is what I had to go to to make it all day.
  12. Yes I have and it worked.
  13. You can become quite accurate by feathering the line with the off hand and manually closing the bail.
  14. I like 12-15 fluorocarbon on my bait casters.
  15. Way to go sir. I haven’t used mine in years. It came with no sights. I taught my grandson how to shoot instinctively. I may have done it too well. He turned out to be a swat sniper.
  16. Don’t know about that but most stern light malfunctioning is some type of corrosion instead of a bad bulb. Are you sure the bulb is bad.
  17. Be sure to get electronics that are compatible with the trolling motor that you chose, because of the extra functions that are available.
  18. MK links HB. MG links Low. Better check out the Garmin tm. I like at least a 45” shaft.
  19. One of my Ned setups is a ml Gloomis Bronzeback with a Curado 70. On it I have 6# fluorocarbon line. Everything else is 12# fluorocarbon and heavier.
  20. I always have 2 bottles of super glue gel in the boat. One for use every trip and the other one in the glove box (new unopened) as a backup when the regular one is empty. If you close it immediately after use it will last a long time.
  21. Nada should get you within 75% of the actual value.
  22. I don’t use 4#. I use 6#. Bass 6.25, walleye 8, carp 9.
