Jig Man's Achievements

  1. I’ve never seen a reason to use anything other than Shimano oil.
  2. You might want to take a look at Tackle Max craws. I’ve had success using them with Jewell Pee Wee jigs. https://tackle-max.com/products/tackle-max-crawfish?variant=47467544379684
  3. It may not be the best but I have had good luck with Seaguar red label. I’ve been using it for years. My main usage is 12# and I buy 1000 yd spools from Amazon.
  4. If it needs that much attention I will send it in for a thorough cleaning.
  5. Yes they are worth buying. I run an Ulterra 36 volt with a Humminbird one boat network. The best feature is auto stow and deploy with being able to control that from the console via my HB Solix. Spot lock, auto pilot and follow the contour are also great features. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.
  6. In MO all we have to have is an id with birthday on it. Any more they don’t even ask. But it still costs me $60 to fish your waters.
  7. Here in Southwest Missouri our lakes have largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass. You are likely to catch all three in the same area. Spotted bass often are present in schools so if you catch one you just might get several in the same place.
  8. I should have clearer in my post. It is a bait casting reel.
  9. I recently bought some 15# and put it on a setup for Ned rigs and small swim baits. I put it on with tension and have used it 3 times. It keeps digging on the spool and causing problems with casting. Anyone got any suggestions?
  10. Check with DVT. My rods are made locally.
  11. I bought a couple at Wally World a while back.
  12. I have 3 setups specifically designed for finesse jigs (3/16 oz). They are custom builds. If it were me I would contact Delaware Valley Tackle and see what he would do for you.
  13. I’ve seen 1. The wife of one of our farm hands saw one. We never see one on the game cameras.
