My wifes grandma passed away last Thursday , so our plans of going to Bull Shoals got canceled . I did find time sunday to go to a local lake to get some fishing in. My nephew went with me and it was mid day , so my sights wasn't set very high for big fish .However I figured we would have a good time none the less. I threw a fluke and was catching keeper fish pretty consistently. Then I got bit by toad ! Weighed right at 5lbs . It was a pretty good surprise .
I drag them on across the floor or over the rocks. In my opinion you want to drag across every rock on the floor .
I don't know if its the sound or vibration of the shakey head hitting every rock or what , but I have good success with this technique .
I use worms and even creature baits on them.
Shakey head , id be lost without it !
Fluke , when there is a lot of vegetation
Rage bug
and of course jig
I believe geo g to be correct , throw what you have confidence in most importantly." my opinion"
Thank you guys very much !
im going to look into maybe buying the lakemaster.
Do I have to specify hummingbird helix mega when ordering or are they pretty much universal?
I have searched previous threads trying to figure out what lake map card is best for the hummingbird helix mega , but im finding no definite answer . Or at least not enough to steer me any direction.
I like the navionics because it does have Missouri and alabama on the maps where as others don't have both states . But im unable to be sure it is compatable with the Helix Mega.
Any help or advice is much appreciated!
