I just picked up the Accurist s3 in a combo for 149.99 amazon. The guy on YouTube REELTEST broke down all the specs called it best reel in $100 range ever! and Tackle tour website agrees the only negative I have heard is there arnt enough gear ratio options my model is 7:3:1 with med/fast rod looks like Winn grips and a sick white and red color scheme. If Quantum keeps this up shimano and diawa might be in trouble....I will update my experience with the combo at a later date. So maybe Quantum is doing something right...
I agree I would never buy any rod or reel with someone's name all over it even if it is KVD

Well good riddance Dicks ruined business when they decided to try and be "politically correct" and stop selling "AR's" I quit going there all together the one here in my town in NC is empty.
That would be a great way to put everyone on a more level playing field to just show up and fish figuring out the lake would be challenging but fun! and I'm all for banning senkos or senko style baits in tournaments.
I found this post because I was wondering the same thing about this fish. I think it's a genetic disorder or something might be better to bank these type of fish unfortunately ....
I own the 3000 and 5000 for inshore and some light saltwater applications such as throwing plugs and spoons off the surf/pier I have used both reels for over 2 years now and they are the best spinning reels for the money I have ever owned. I sold my diawa bgs after the Nascis did so well.
I live in Eastern NC and the swamps y'all see in Louisiana look just like they do here their are even a few gators in certain areas. The longnose gar in NC along with bowfin are most definitely problematic when bass fishing. I have to use at least 14 lb test in order to keep my tackle and yes I will bank the gar when I catch one not the bowfin I feel there is still some skill and fun in catching a big ol blackfish
So I am a bank and Kayak angler. When I'm on my Kayak I bring 2 rods/reels one heavy with baitcaster for anything big and one medium with spinning reel for light lures finesse baits. I bring my favorite lures and extra line ect. I might throw 20+ lures on my kayak to see what they want until I dial it in normally a search bait to find where they are then throwing every thing I got. On the bank I carry a 25 lb backpack including water and food and yes it gets a little heavy but I look at it like a workout so its great. I have had some amazing days from the bank I recommend to bring as much as you feel comfortable carrying and you will never wish you had brought something
