  1. my inlaws live there and i was wandering what kinda fishing is up there. i have heard good things about the Chesapeake Bay but i dont have any idea as to how to go about fishing that place. Do you have to have a VA liscense to fish the bay? just looking for some help. thanks
  2. too many of you are thing about this idea way too much. its a easy concept. a transducer in the water by way of your line and a moniter attached to your rod or somewhere else. why wouldn't it work? what is so scary about this contraption. i have seen it work and it is not something you will see on the FLW but it still works.
  3. hey guys ease up now these aren't just any bobbers these transducer/bobbers are shaped like a little tug boat. isn't that cute. but i don't know what happens if for some reason you loose the trans. on the end of the line. i guess then it becoames an ebay item ;D
  4. well boys quit wondering and know that they do work. we have one that we use in the river all the time. since we don't have room for anything added to the boat for fear of the rocks knocking it off we had to invest in one of these. it does a decent job at depth, fish location, and know they have one that has a themometer on it. but they do work
  5. ahh i love river fishing we put our jon boats in and float 9.6 miles (thanks to my gps) and will easily catch 50-60 largemouth per boat. last year all we threw were 5 in senko, tiki worm, or anything llike that. i like the bass pro worm, but this year we have decided to venture out a little. got some tricks in the bag. even some worminator frogs. we don't have small mouth in this river so i don't know about them but to me there is nothing like fishing the rivers. we are the only ones that seem to fish this river. last year we saw one canoe with two kids in it. thats it. but the rocks are a little rough on the ole aluminum, but to catch fish you have to pay the price. ;D
  6. i agree that dicks has more good stuff and walmart has more of a lets stop on the way to the lake idea. i wish walmart had better selection of reels i go to dicks when i can
  7. HOW MANY RIGHT HANDED PEOPLE THROW A LFT HANDED REEL. BEEN THINKING A BOUT SWITCHING OR AT LEAST TRING TO. HOW HARD IS IT TO SWITCH OVER
