  1. Thank you for the info, with this knowledge I will probably just fish a little pot luck benefit tournament on my home lake. We are 8 1/2 feet high but the water is just perfect for a flipping bite.
  2. Jeez. I wonder what the water clarity will be like once you get out of the river? I love high water with decent clarity.
  3. Has anyone been on Ouachita since all the rain??? I'm thinking about going down this weekend but have no idea what the lake is doing.
  4. How about Christie going from 39th to 18th?
  5. Jacob Wheeler did prove that big largemouth live there too! catch one of those and make up some SERIOUS ground.
  6. very true!
  7. Something else to keep in mind is while skipping and pitching you can actually guide your bait where you want it to go by moving the tip of your rod one way or another. Its not a huge difference but it can be huge when your talking about big fish in shallow water All together though, coffee cup accuracy Id say most normal people would top out around 25-30 feet on a calm day.
  8. Right? lol but diversity is a good thing too
  9. Anybody on here watching the stage five MLF event? Thoughts?
  10. The lakes around here are mostly based on deep ledges and brush piles, so I typically am casting a jig a mile and short hopping it on the bottom with one to two second intervals between hops. Big 3/4 or 1/2 oz. footballs are king on my home lake, and when I say brush piles, I mean very small odd things not giant conservation piles.
  11. Absolutely LOVE G-Loomis. As one of their higher end rods this one is supreme. The only issue ive ever had with mine was the insert coming out of the top eye, but I think that was due to my lack of awareness. LOL
  12. VERY nice man. I have never really got into any big smallies. My PB is only 4.2 LOL Is swimbait your first choice or a last resort?
  13. This works well, but at what time does the effort in upgrading a bait cost more than the price of buying the one that is two dollars more?
  14. https://fishersandfarmers.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/fshclub.pdf A list of fishing clubs in Iowa
  15. Sweet, thanks man.
  16. Honestly the rivers around here are really underrated. fishing a small 2.8 keitech or a zman trd craw is the way to go! Kentuckies should be on fire after the water calms down. rip-rap is an awesome place for spots on Lake of the Ozarks. Not very big fish but FUN!
  17. I would love to stay in touch with you as the season progresses! I am for sure going to favor a big jig and offshore stuff, but i also love to flip shallow wood. How do we exchange contact info without everyone seeing it?
  18. Okay awsome. That's what I like to here. I love finding cover, and if I can find any rock at all I'll feel 1000 times better. Guess I'll just have to wait until next month to see. Getting stir crazy though!
  19. Okay sounds good. Is there any specific grass to look for? Or just general oddities in the matts?
  20. Check out American Bass Anglers. Largest weekend tournament group in the country. Pay for a membership and you can fish any ABA tournament in the country. And your points count tword a national championship.
  21. Okay, so I am looking for some help with lake Eufaula on the border of Alabama and Georgia. I am planning a trip to go fish it this summer, (middle of may), and in the fall, (middle of October). I have a very good understanding of fishing in general but I am a Midwest guy. Big rock lakes like Tablerock, Lake of the Ozarks, and Beaver are all I have really ever fished so I am almost completely lost on a grass lake like Eufaula. HELP!
