  1. I saw a video recently where the guy just put a small piece of rubber band inside(on one side) the normal pinch on weight. I haven't tried this so I can't say if it would solve the problem but I don't like the kinks they make either.
  2. Have both of those and the norman for me outproduces the bomber, never caught anything on any of the bombers I have. I love the fatboy. Dont remember the colors name of my fatboy but its white with a green back and green glitter all over it. Paul
  3. I have some and have used them very little. I just cant handle loosing them! I still get them wet once in a while but not as often as I should. I thought about getting more but right now finances just dont allow it. Paul
  4. The best has always been "lets go fishin!" The worst is when the pros say "let the fish tell you what they want". Some days the fish are very quite in my parts. Paul
  5. When he wont go fishing with you! My brother just doesnt want to make plans for anything so we only go when it just happens to work out. My other fishin buddy tells me all the time that I wont catch them on that bait! Case in point I went to throw a stanly ribbit toward some weeds and he says I wont catch anything with that and on the first cast got a 14 inch largemouth. I looked at him and he was slackjawed and has since kept those kind of remarks to himself. Paul
  6. I have 2 of them and have yet to catch anything on them. And as stated by wanderlust the Johnson silver minnow does better. I don't have one but my brother does and he usually catches quite a few fish a year on it. Paul
  7. I have allot of the t1's but I have to admit I have not caught many fish on them. I for some reason think that anything swimmin would want to eat it but apparently they don't want them that much. I still throw em though. I do have some with chipped heads but I have never lost a blade and never have I found blade tarnished. So as long as it's a quality t1 for 2$ I would go for it. Paul
  8. That's just what I needed to hear. They have been resting in my fishing desk for some time now. As I get older I find I am getting less hung up on what colors to buy. Thanks. Paul
  9. When I first started jerkbaitn I got x-raps and caught allot of fish. A few years later I graduated to luckycrafts and have yet to catch one fish on them, think I will go back to the x-raps. Paul
  10. A few years ago I bought a bunch of Lucky Craft cranks in the sexy shad color because "that's a cool color". Now I realize that I haven't used them that much because to me the sexy shad color is a clear water color and allot of the water I fish is fairly stained. So do I just use them as they are in stained water or should I paint them to a color I think better suits stained water? Thanks. Paul
  11. the tear is about one inch long and is located at where the v part of the hull transitions to the flat part. I was told they ran it aground hard enough to rip it. The other part of the problem is someone pulled out the other 2 bench seats to put in a flat floor and they didn't put any support under the floor. So as I fix the rip I plan to add some support to the hull to beef it up. Paul
  12. I got a new boat for a bargain but it has a hull tear near the front(but on the bottom) and would like some ideas on how to repair it. My brother says to make a patch panel bigger than the tear and silicon and bolt it in place on the inside. It is a 1977 15 foot crestliner. Some previous owner tried a weird epoxy patch but it did nothing, I popped it right off. I thought about taking it to a welding shop but I am concerned about how much that would cost as I don't want to put allot of money into it, would rather just save my money for a new jon. Any thought or tip would be appreciated. Thanks. Paul
  13. Last year I picked up some hollowbellys and caught some really nice bass on them. This year so far nothing. I have also noticed they are sliughtly tweaked at the tail now, is this enough to throw them off enough not to catch bass? And then I got to thinking would the z-man baits hold up better because they are stretchy they would not kink at the tail as easily. Anybody use the z-man swimbait that can chime in and give an opinion. Any other input would be appreciated. Thanks. Paul
  14. I too got the tru tungsten and have yet to even get a follow. I love the action but no fish means it will no longer stay in tackle box. Will still keep trying though. Paul
  15. I have been looking at getting a drift sock for my 2 man bass boat but got to thinking when I upgrade to a jon(hopefully 14ft) will I be able to use the same size on it too. Also the place I am going to get one the smallest is 36 inches, would that be too big for my 8 footer bass boat? Thanks. Paul
