  1. Yowza, what a beast!
  2. Went out for an hour after work. I’m pretty sure this fish hit my $1.00 Wal Mart spinner bait twice but hey I’ll take it as my fingers were numb when I left.
  3. I too can raise a pint and enjoy doing so, but if you put it into context and did that for say a 2 hour time span I don’t think anyone is capable of raising said pint approximately 100 times give or take. And if they were able they would be hurting pretty good the next day
  4. Although I don’t use a spin cast reel currently your posts have me feeling nostalgic. For more years than I can remember my only reel for our annual fishing trip to Minnesota was a zebco 33 spin cast, plastic housing and all, caught perch to pike on that reel. I still have 2, with one being semi functional Daiwa silvercast reels from my dad. I wish I had the 5’? orange Daiwa rod it originally came with. I actually had my kids use them when they were younger. May have to find a cheap pistol grip rod and go bluegill fishing with it soon. Thanks for the memories ?
  5. I’m not sure about everyone else, but I myself keep the same cadence/rhythm no matter what the gear ratio is. Obviously as @bulldog1935 is pointing out you can change handles or you can buy elsewhere as @Tatulatard pointed out. If it were me I’d purchase the gear ratio I want from somewhere else. I made my first JDM purchase this year and couldn’t be more pleased.
  6. Fantastic price, that’s awesome ?? The price of gas for me to go would have offset any savings for me.
  7. I apologize if you already posted photos but if not show us what you bought .
  8. Sorry if I posted the reel photos earlier in this thread, this is my Christmas/Birthday haul. My family treats me very well for both and I’m always on the lookout for good/great deals such as the favorite Soleus for $50.00 a deal I can’t pass up. I also want to to thank @FrnkNsteen for making me a deal I couldn’t refuse on the bps crankin stick’s. I was kicking myself in the ass for not grabbing a 7’-0” medium when I had the chance at bps so again huge thank you, p.s. my first bass of the year came on that rod? I’m still contemplating 1 more reel to replace a lower end reel but I feel I’ve given the “bait monkey” enough to enjoy for awhile. Lastly I’m a sucker for a color match and the monofilament matches perfectly with the panfish elite rod ?
  9. Doyo I believe. Compare the carbonlite 2.0 to a Lews Lfs same frame for sure. Specs are darn near the same also.
  10. Wondering this myself. I’m interested to see if anyone responds about the lack of replacement parts?
  11. I’ll step up. When they came out my mom bought my brother and myself each one for Christmas. My dad took us on an annual fishing trip to Minnesota every year and I couldn’t wait to try it out, I’m sure there are pictures somewhere of me after catching perch, bluegill and crappie on the dang thing. They couldn’t cast worth a crap but dropping it on the side of the boat the thing was a blast ?. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
  12. Or live with the shorter handle ?
  13. Count me in on the updates .
  14. Cute cat, now show off the rest of the bicycle ?
  15. Completely understand.
  16. You should check out the bps carbonlite 2.0 reels. Dual braking system, aluminum frame, Carbon handle, light weight and at $120.00 it’s competitively priced with the other Doyo made reels.
  17. ???
  18. I’m looking forward to seeing the final results as I’m a sucker for color matched rods & reels.
  19. I know these aren’t the best photos but I wanted to upgrade a couple reels this year. I got a couple new rods also but still trying to get pictures together for them. The jackhammer was a gift for buying from Japan Lure Shop, thanks again for the heads up @Bassjam2000
  20. Congratulations guys??
  21. Finally caught the first one this year, I’ve been throwing neds and rat l traps with no luck. Caught this guy on an ozark trail crank.
  22. I’m no expert on this matter but there are several members on here who routinely buy JDM and most times it appears to be a difference in color, handle length and sometimes the gears are aluminum (JDM) vs brass (USDM). I purchased a Tatula 80 and it’s my understanding the only difference is handle length which doesn’t bother me.
  23. I’ll add if you’re not opposed to going a little bit more on your budget $140.00 I was handling a couple different sizes of the new St. Croix eyecon series rods and man do they feel nice.
