  1. @slonezp I too wore “Roebucks” until my grandmother “caught” me trying to sew a Levi’s label on them, I’m pretty positive that was my 7th-8th grade transition. Im not sure what shoes you wore but for me it was Skips which were a Venture/K-Mart staple. We weren’t poor but we certainly weren’t rich either and my dad who’s 82 and still with us always did what he had to do to take care of me and my 3 siblings.
  2. Years ago I started taking Melatonin before bed and I developed debilitating headaches. I stopped taking the Melatonin and the headaches went away. Had a family friend who also suffered from the headaches from the Melatonin as well. YMMV
  3. @CaughtMeABiggun If you’re referring to the black/silver rod with orange wraps? I have the 6’-10” and mounted a Daiwa CA80 on it and love the feel. Also I’m actually borderline ocd when it comes to color matching my rods/reels and these go together like peanut butter and jelly.

  5. I put my small trash In my pocket .
  6. @Mike L I remember the Mitch Trubisky debacle all too well ?
  7. @12poundbass I hope this doesn’t come across the wrong way to you or anyone else on here but I couldn’t agree more with your comment. Three interceptions is a game changer with the first being somewhat excusable but the next 2 no reason for it. To me and again I’m not trying to pick a fight but it’s no different than Kansas City losing to Detroit and people saying he didn’t have Travis Kelce, but this is just my humble opinion and if anyone feels the need to punch back at me I’m a lifelong Chicago Bears fan.
  8. Although I have not handled the bps rod I have 2 of the bps panfish elite rods and I absolutely love them. I’m not sure what guides or reel seat is on the micro series, I’m thinking sea guide but the reel seat which is the same design as my elite is absolutely fantastic imho. Also BPS is one of the easiest places when it comes to handling warranty issues. Conversely I have 4 Lews rods that have had zero issues. I don’t think you will go wrong either way but if it were my money I’m going BPS. Also yes you need a new rod as per the bait monkey ?
  9. I was gifted this very cool reel this week by one of our members on here. I’m sure many of you will know who I’m referring to when you see the photos and realize the reel is a pimped out Tica Cetus SS 500? Thanks again my friend.
  10. @J Francho The name is definitely awesome and as I said the male and female vocalist’s were both pretty amazing.
  11. I know this is kind of late but I went and saw Corey Taylor at the Riviera Theater in Chicago last Thursday. First off he was amazing but even the 2 warm up acts were awesome. First up was The Oxymorrons rap/metal infusion which was awesome then a band from England called WARGASM male and female singers who tore it up.
  12. I’m going to add as @WRB & @GetFishorDieTryin are pointing out to get the 13 fishing rod while they’re on clearance. Although I don’t own a St Croix Triumph I gifted my brother one in the past and used it quite frequently when fishing with him and it’s nowhere near as nice as my current 13 fishing fate black rod.
  13. Abu Garcia Revo ALF and Daiwa Tatula 80
  14. Although not a popular choice the Piscifun Carbon X spinning reels have served me well for a handful of years so far. Although I’m unsure of parts availability/servicing I’ve really enjoyed my 3 for exactly what you’re describing as an amateur fisherman.
  15. Everyone fishes differently. If you’re happy using a 2500 for panfish so be it, I much like MN Fisher prefer 1000 size reels and light powered rods but it doesn’t mean you can’t use the setup you’re referring to. I just recently bought a Daiwa B&G 1500 for panfish/pond bass and absolutely love it with 6 pound monofilament. Although I’m not familiar with either the rod or the reel I say go enjoy?
  16. I know this isn’t fishing gear but Midway USA is having a great sale on Danner work boots currently. I just purchased a pair for $255.96 pre tax with free shipping normally $320.00 pre tax with free shipping direct from Danner and when I asked the Danner customer service representative if they would price match the customer service representative said jump on that deal. Needless to say I did and they are already in delivery ?
  17. I have a few Tatulas including the older Type R (150 size) and a newer 100 and an 80. The 80 is substantially smaller than the Type R and narrower than the 100. I believe the 80 is built on the SV800 frame but don’t quote me on that. It is by far the most comfortable Tatula I own.
  18. I’m going to chime with I have a 13 fishing Creed LTE I bought a few years ago on clearance and it’s been a great reel with none of the problems that I read about in the reviews for the reel. For what it’s worth I have it on a 13 fishing med light rod paired with 8 lb J-braid. I purchased a Stradic this past spring and I was comparing the Miravel and Stradic side by side. In the end I’m glad I purchased the Stradic.
  19. @gimruis I’m not a big fan of wheat beers so unfortunately I’m not crazy about the (3) gum ball head beers in this mixed package but the other 9 are pale ales and so far I’m pretty happy.
  20. @gimruis I believe 3 Floyd’s are the only ones who brew “zombie dust” they started brewing their beers in Hammond Indiana. They have 2 zombie beers as far as I can tell, zombie dust is a pale ale and zombie ice is a double pale ale.
  21. Trying something semi new for me tonight
  22. @Darth-Baiter I’m sorry if I’m stepping on toes here but I figured since you’re talking Curado’s I bought a used 150 MGL which came with all shoes off and well that didn’t go well after I spooled it and casted a light weight floating Rapala ?. It has 6 shoe’s and I’m with you on balance so my question is 3 on and 3 off for balance or 2 on and 4 off or vice versa for a setup which will probably see 1/4-3/8 ounce lures? No more than 1/2 ounce.
  23. Just saw Midway has an open box RH Tatula 80 for $123.48.
