  1. I’m in the Tatula 100 camp. I own several Daiwa’s including a CT Type R to a Tatula 80 and a Tatula 100 and I will say the Tatula 100 is the most versatile. I will add I don’t know how or why your SLX got geary but I will say my Tat 100 is a awesome reel 😉
  2. I’m going to add my .02 cents on this one. As some of you may know I received as a gift a reel from my friend @bulldog1935 a Tica Cetus 500 spinning reel. What many if anyone may not know is that he sent me a personal reel that he took the time and thought to upgrade the handle and corresponding non handle side to a double paddle handle and a non handle “reel stand/hook keeper” included instead of taking back his upgrades and using at his discretion. I immediately placed the reel on a 6’-6” St Croix light powered rod to throw 1/16 oz inline spinner’s and I have to say the upgrades made a difference in my cadence when reeling in said spinner and also as far as the balance as he has pointed out when I wanted to “pause my retrieve” it stopped immediately. Before this turns into a novel I will say before I continue seeking out the “perfect” reel I will consider upgrading my “personal” current collection as I feel looking into upgrading parts that I personally was overlooking I:E spools, handles etc. would be worthwhile. YMMV😉
  3. @NorthernBasser That’s freaking awesome 🤣😆

    Buc ees

Although it sounds like Buc-ees is larger if you’re going by “Wally’s home of the great American road trip” stop in there. There are only 2 locations as far as I’m aware in Pontiac Illinois and Fenton Missouri. Clean restrooms, in store jerky counter plus pre packaged, ice cream station plus more😉
  5. @Mike L I hope we fire everyone on this coaching staff right after this game. As far as getting a new quarterback what’s the point when we can’t find a coaching staff to coach/develop a quarterback to save our lives. Matt Nagy is probably the luckiest piece of 💩to coach in the NFL coaching Patrick Mahomes and having Andy Reid cover his a** to boot.
  6. @Mobasser I feel the need to share this about Ardent. So yesterday at 10:30 am I contacted the Ardent customer service with an E-Mail inquiring about a reel part that they promised to respond to within 48 hours. At 7:00 am today I received a response E-Mail asking for my address and by 11:40am this morning I received yet another E-Mail stating the part I inquired about was being shipped with a confirmation number via USPS and the kicker is they never asked for a dime for the part or shipping. Very good customer service that I’m hoping your grandson doesn’t need to use.

  8. @Koz 😉

  10. @redmeansdistortion you and @bulldog1935 are killing me😉
  11. @bulldog1935 Absolutely stunning and I do mean all of them.
  12. @PhishLI I believe you’re correct 👍🏻
  13. @MN Fisher I will say I love the profile (smaller) than my tat ct but every time I think I need a new reel that dang Fuego CT at the prices they offer just seems to good to pass up. Hard to knock the Daiwa lineup in which I think we share a few reels in common. I’m also using my Tatula CT for frogs/buzzbaits.
  14. @stratos4me Don’t poo poo the Revo lineup. There are some gems in there in my humble opinion including the Revo X winch which I happen to happily own alongside my Daiwa’s and Shimano’s😉 @MN Fisher I’m with you on not remembering when you posted the sale but I do remember it was Fleet Farm and also thinking at that price I was tempted as I had already been using mine which I bought at a great price from Amazon. Not sure how yours is holding up to punching/pitching but I’m still loving mine (6.3:1) for smaller swim jigs and I’m looking at upgrading the rod for it.
  15. @MN Fisher If I’m not mistaken you purchased your Daiwa CA80 last year during the Black Friday Sale.
  16. I will say I received my “Black Friday” sales flyers from BPS/Cabelas and Blaine’s Farm Fleet and was totally disappointed when I went through them this morning over coffee ☹️
  17. @Crow Horse I can only imagine as I’ve only seen them in person at the zoo😉 Not to mention if I’m not mistaken they are still a “Raptor” incapable of flying but still have the claw to defend themselves 😬 As I just looked it up they have 3 claws😬
  18. @Crow Horse It is a majestic looking bird 😉
  19. @Crow Horse & @TnRiver46 what the heck are Emus doing running around by either of you two.
  20. @Mossman Im going to throw my .02 in the ring on the solstice aero 1000 and AX ultralight. If you have a Bass Pro Shop near you wait until the spring sale and trade both rods in for the BPS panfish Elite Rods which are $80.00 but after trade ins are $65.00 each. I have the 6’-8” ultralight (for your) 500 size reel and a 7’-2” light (for your 1000) size reel and for the price they’re a lot of rod for the money. If that doesn’t work for you I still suggest if you have a bps close enough check into whatever rods you are comfortable with and again trade them in during the spring sale as the higher the price point you’re purchasing the more you get back from your trade ins 😉
  21. Although I don’t own any Ardent reels a handful of years ago I purchased a Piscifun Saex Apex Elite which is the exact reel as the Ardent Apex reel with dual brakes and red highlights instead of blue . It’s held up well and I really like the profile although it’s not the longest casting reel I own. I purchased 3 Piscifun Carbon X spinning reels which I’m pretty sure are made by the same company making the Ardent spinning reels and I absolutely love them.
  22. Although I know nothing about electronics as I don’t have a need for them the sales at Dicks seem pretty good at these prices.
  23. @Blue Raider Bob
  24. ⬆️ This😉 I’m with @AlabamaSpothunter plus certain members on here have pointed out aluminum gears aren’t necessarily a bad thing. I will also add as a bonus if you order from Japan Lure Shop they throw in a free premium lure which in my estimation offsets the price of shipping 😉
