  1. I am sure they are great rods, but they are not in the lower priced lineups as far as I know of.
  2. I really wish he would make a longer crankbait rod in the lower priced lineups. 7'0 is ok for squarebills, but I like something a little longer for medium diving cranks.
  3. Braid- Palomar Fluorocarbon- San Diego Jam Knot Braid to leader- Shin knot
  4. I really like Picasso baits, Aaron Martens had a lot to do with designing a lot of their baits so I wouldn't think twice about trying some of their baits. Like you said the ones I have used have high quality components on them!
  5. I have one that I use for medium depth cranks and squarebills, the reel is very smooth and casts quite well! I have thought about buying some more for other rods!
  6. Why you gotta kick us Northern guys while we are down???
  7. Doesn't look good for sure! I don't fish there but still don't like to see stuff like that around our area for sure!
  8. Which lake those come out of?
  9. If it was me I would be heading to Tennessee in March or April and fish Chick, I know the guys down there say that it gets pounded and always crowded. But I am guessing they never fished anything in Ohio. haha. Went down there in May of this year and hired a guide, he was complaining about all the boats and people fishing too close, I was thinking to myself you haven't seen anything. haha
  10. Go through my stuff every winter, stuff I haven't used goes to my younger brother and the buddies that need some extra tackle. This winter it shouldn't be much, I have narrowed down what I use in baits now. I will stock up on those baits if I see them on sale though!
  11. Took care of my fluoro for the next couple years! Took advantage of the sale on Sunline ALF has going on right now.
  12. Good on you man! That is what this sport we all love is about right there!
  13. I have the co pilot bibs, they are a step below the ones on sale here. Mine kept me plenty warm here this fall, so I am betting the ones on sale would be just fine, especially for that price! They are originally $300!
  14. Well as far as I know of Johnny Morris owns all three now so may be all the same overpriced crap!
  15. I learned that I like to crankbait fish a whole lot more than I ever dreamed of! I also learned I still suck at fishing a jig!
  16. That is patience and talent right there! Absolutely amazing art work!
  17. Drink beer and cry! What else is there to do in the winter?
  18. I second this one! The Kaden rods are great, also Dobyns has an awesome warranty and customer service.
  19. Treble hooked baits and most moving baits for me is just a sweeping hook set. Texas rig , and jigs I am swinging for the fences every time. Here in Ohio there is one bass in each lake so if he or she is nice enough to bite that day you can be sure it won't be because of a bad hook set that it didn't make it in the boat!
  20. Welcome from a fellow Ohioan!
  21. That isn't Ohio, that is the state up North! Haha. Dad always said push Toledo North and Cincinnati South and Ohio would be a much better state! Haha
  22. Ground covered here in Northeast Ohio already, and already sick of it! Oh well guess it could always be worse.
  23. Definitely, the problem is I have tied more flies than I will ever use in the last two years, even gave some away this summer to a guy!
  24. I really don't know why I look on this forum! Lol. Now I may have to drag my tying stuff out this winter and tie some of them up! Nice ties for sure!
  25. Jigs for me also! Fish them and never get bit, my buddy always yells at me for not having it in my hand. But why continue to be frustrated when I can fish something else.
