  1. Congrats on the new ride! Hope you enjoy it.
  2. Too many boats on our tiny lakes and the DNR couldn't care less about the bass population. Always stocking toothy critters, acting like we live in Minnesota or Canada.
  3. Shaky head
  4. Fishing is where I get rid of all the negative crap in this world. I go as much as possible these days, cause the world is full of crap. Fishing is what sets my mind correct, if not there would be a lot of heavy drinking!
  5. Is this your first baitcast reel? The reason I am asking is the Kastking reels are sometimes difficult to get dialed in so they cast correctly. I would look at the $99 SLX reel, they are easily set up and cast well. For the money it may be the best reel on the market. Learning a baitcaster takes some time and patience, wouldn't want you buying the cheapest reel and get upset with it and give up before you even get started. Just my opinion! And yes before anyone busts my chops I own two Kastking reels. Haha
  6. Float tube is a blast to fish out of! You can make it as simple as you would like. Don't need to carry everything you own, that is why I love fishing out of mine, makes me actually fish spots better than in the boat. We have some old coal ponds here in Ohio that were stocked with bass and other fish years ago, that is what I use mine for. Hiking in to more secluded ponds is easier with the tube for sure. I have the classic accessories Cumberland tube, and made a three hole rod holder to put on it so I don't have to worry about my rods disappearing all the sudden! Haha. Caught my PB of almost 7# in that float tube, talk about a ride! Haha
  7. Yeah Cayuga was awesome! Won't be the last time I fish there for sure. Beautiful area, lake is absolutely beautiful. Beats Ohio bass fishing any day of the week!
  8. It was a great trip, started out slow. The Monday before we left my brother and I caught probably 60# of bass off one stretch of bank. Fished that stretch 5 times that day and caught nice fish every time. His biggest was almost 6# and mine was just under 5#. We had a blast, and thanks everyone on here that helped me out! Sorry meant to post on here about it, and got busy after we returned home catching up on things.
  9. 3/8 and 1/4 for me, any bigger and they will outlay the bass around here!
  10. Thanks guys I will give it a shot!
  11. I have tried some of that, must be doing something wrong cause it always breaks on me.
  12. For those of you that tie your own skirts on your jigs, I would like to tie on my own skirts. I was wondering what size wire to use to tie them on? I don't want to use the rubber band collars.
  13. To the point of how I apply it, I use a rag and run the line through it while spooling line on. Then just spray directly onto the spool of the reel after it has been on there.
  14. KVD here also, put it on the night before a trip. Sometimes spray it on during the trip if my line starts coiling again.
  15. I second Presque Isle Bay, check into Erie Bass Charters. Danny the guide knows where they are and how to catch them.
