  1. Thanks MN Fisher. I checked out fish USA and they have a nice selection of fenwick 2 piece rods that look nice and fit the price point.
  2. Probably looking for a 6.6 med or mh. I searched tackle warehouse and could only find a st croix mojo bass and a daiwa ardito travel rod. Was wondering if there were any other options that I was overlooking. Thanks for the help.
  3. I was talking to a buddy of mine who asked me for advice on a decent 2 piece spinning rod at around the 80$ price point. Unfortunately I have zero experience with 2 piece rods so I figured I’d reach out to you guys for advice. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
  4. Was fishing with three in the boat. Everyone was throwing worms. Both my buddies set the hook at the same time. I was thinking that’s a nice double. As they were both getting their fish close to the boat I could tell something was amiss. Low and behold they had both caught the same fish. Both hooked in the mouth. Good thing it wasn’t big fish on the day seeings how we had money on that.
  5. Years ago I had access to a private sand plant that had 3 separate ponds. Most of them sound the same as you described, except only about 30-35 ft deep. I used to throw small slider worms and kill them. Working the drop offs, any points and the one pond had a drainage ditch that ran into it, if the water was running than the fish would be stacked up on it. Most of the bass were small in there. I assume it was because of lack of forage. 70-100 fish days were not uncommon. Mostly dink’s but I Managed to pull a few 6+er out of there. I sure do miss that place.
  6. It happens to me a lot when I was just learning to fish Texas rigged plastics. As I gained experience it happened less and less. Still does occasionally on very windy days. As a side note just cut the line as close as possible. I once caught one that had someone else’s slider rusty slider head still stuck in its gullet.
  7. I’ve never tried using spinnerbaits as chatterbaits, but it definitely looks interesting. I’ve build a bunch buying the components and assembling them. They work well enough and are cheap to put together. I fish a lot of swift rocky water and I don’t mind if I lose a few per day.
  8. The only thing I don’t like is there isn’t a place for a label. I though about getting a white sharpie paint pen, but Walmart was out. I went with duct tape and a regular sharpie. Seems to work well so far.
  9. I just picked up 4 of the small ones. They don’t hold what they say they do. But I like the concept. I have a few older bps bags that are the same. Unfortunately I don’t think they make them anymore. I’m not sure how durable they’ll be. I’ve only had mine a few weeks but they seem pretty well constructed.
  10. I second the lakemaster if the lakes you fish are on there. I use both though to cover all of my needs.
  11. 15% off gander outdoors through Memorial Day. 10% off bass pro today only
  12. I know it’s not quite on topic. But I used to wear them out on a grape slider worm 20 years ago.
  13. I’ve used the gama with the plastic weed guardthat bends over the hook for years with lots of success.
  14. Just use their expeditor program and they’ll send you a new rod at a reasonable price. The price varies on the model of the rod.
  15. The first thing I would try is to clean all the electrical connections. Especially the grounds. My 2010 tracker with a 90 hp merc was having issues with the tach and cleaning the connections solved the problem.
