  1. Thanks guys. I'm going to play it safe and just bring it to a fishing repair shop locally here and have them do it. Called, they said they have the C clamps in stock so screw it lol.
  2. Total horror show tonight. I have a Shimano Curado 200 baitcaster I needed to clean, standard stuff I've done it a ton already. Anyhow I got cotton from the qtip stuck in the gear below the eye and it got stuck. I ended up taking some stuff apart to get to it and this thing popped off and went flying, no idea where it is. It's a C lock and I have the part # to order more but how are you supposed to get these on? Is there a tool for it? I couldn't just push it on because there was just enough room (height wise) to try and make it fit.
  3. It's a tough body of water and there's hundreds of spots. Prob is it fills up to a raging river whenever there's a huge rain storm (like what just happened today), then all the "spots" get reset/relocated however the cove's n cut off's up and down are good starting points.
  4. I've never been stopped in either VA or MD and wish I saw more of them checking ID's.
  5. Yea, sometimes it's better to let the internets harrass these assclownz because the authorities are unable to do their job correctly. Find out who they are and let the fun begin...
  6. The reason I fish is because of Bass, put them back in the water please... they taste like hell anyways
  7. Same lures you use elsewhere for the most part. Dock fishing is usually more about finesse stuff, the fish like to chill down low by cover.
  8. Aside from these 2 being complete scumbags, who keeps Bass anyways then keeps over 100?
  9. d**n, sorry man. If it helps I run an ultralight setup with the light ci4 on 4lb fluro and the other runs 12lb braid with a leader. Maybe the line isn't tight enough, I really don't know. My ultralight reel is prob my fav out of all of them too, never let me down and I use the hell out of it.
  10. I only back my spinning reels and when I do it's with old braid from another reel.
  11. Yea, well I tie a 10-12' fluoro leader with the FG knot on every setup I have and my bait casters are lined with 15lb braid and 10lb leader because I'm also in the area of thinking the line scares away the fish (if I'm wrong then so be it). If I use 12lb braid then I go with an 8lb leader. The issue I may have here is that the Scorpion DC I just cop'd is 100 series reel so i want to get the most line on it as possible, per their recommendations so I don't mind bumping up to a 20lb braid as long as I'm getting max line capacity on this small ass spool. Nylon thread wound amount (lb - m): 12 - 120, 14 - 100, 16 - 85, 20 - 70
  12. Was just deciding between these 2 myself. As someone who uses 6'6-6'8 max sized rods and baits 1/2oz or less (and I have smaller hands), I decided to run with the Scorpion. I won't lie, I liked the look better and you can read all the reviews you want... they're pretty much the same thing. Take your pick, both great and worth the $. In addition, I wanted something to reduce my occasional backlashing and I currently only have 1 other baitcaster (Shimano Curado) so the additional brake settings on the Scorpion was the best fit for me. Don't really care about the bearing design vs the Curado DC as much as I did the brakes on the Scorpion.
  13. Got 2x of the Ci4's. You probably overspooled your reel, I've done the same thing and yea on these guys if you over spool it the line falls below sometimes when it's relaxed.
  14. Why does everyone run super heavy braid with like a 12lb fluoro leader? To save money? I typically run a 12lb with a 8-10lb leader.
  15. Lame. Not sure why you hate, is it becuz those kids make 14x your gross pay. That aside, their products work. I use them all the time and catch fish and fish with other guys who use them and catch fish.
