  1. It's actually very simple if you - Go at the right time - To the right place - Pick the proper lure - In the correct size - Choose the correct weight - Color - Work your lure at the proper speed/tempo. Many fish too fast, and alot fish too slow. See, very simple if you do the above things while approaching stealthily so you can make your cast from the best angle. 30 - 40 trips in 2 years? You've got to to bump those numbers up.😄 I'd suggest you get a knowledgeable angler in the boat with you or go with them. Over 40+ years bass fishing and I learn something new every trip.
  2. Protein shakes, crackers, and plenty of water while on the water. I eat breakfast before the trip and immediately eat when I get home.
  3. Caught 24 yesterday on a 9 acre private pond with an 85 year backseat boater. First cast from the bank produced a Rat fish. I tied on my Pink Trick Shad because my buddy was catching them on pink Trickworms and it worked. It was a good trip, he caught the biggest at 4.05 lbs . A - Jay and Swamp Girl, I worked my Traps, Rear delts, Lats, and a bit of biceps while paddling us around.😆
  4. Dang! I was just about to PM you about fishing.😆 I agree with the old guys above. NO TRESPASSING signs are needed.
  5. It's hard to teach your girl to tie a SDJ knot when all she wants to is sleep.
  6. A school of bass blowing up on shad. The abrupt silencing of my running buzzbait.
  7. I wouldn't call it a big bait, but I catch alot on my Bull Wake.
  8. Very nice
  9. On a Loomis, the Aldebaran or Aldebaran BFS The Aldebaran will cast that weight easily but the BFS is just lovely to run.
  10. That'd make reloading a real @itch.
  11. I use a small bucket of sand to train my extensor muscles. MassBass is correct as it definitely makes a difference.
  12. I park close to the store and get back out in the sticks as quick as I can. Intown people are crazy. I've got plenty of hilly cow pasture fence line to walk. On the grip training, I suggest Captains of Crush. Most should start with the "Guide" gripper. They're not cheap but will last forever.
  13. TSI 321 on all my bearings
  14. Looks like a OSP I've got but with a few mods. Link to the lure? My Monkey is curious.
  15. I wrestle cows and train the meanest female fighting Dachshund around our property. Those two keep me agile, so I still weight train for strength 3 - 4 times a week depending on my fishing schedule. But I'm still wet behind my ears as I'll only be 50 text month.
  16. You're right. The 1/0 EWG Gamakatsu is a perfect match. I've caught some nice bass on the Baby Shad when they're targeting tiny baitfish.
  17. Crazy? Probably. But aren't we all. I agree with Bird.
  18. 1 - Spoon 2 - Super Fluke with a weighted hook 3 - Huddleston 68 or 5 or 6" Burrito 4 - Spoon 5 - Spoon
  19. That's pretty fancy gear.
  20. Brother, that's incredible. You're definitely in the right area for big girls, throwing the right swimbait. What swimbaits did you catch those girls on?
  21. A 4.5 - 6" curly tail worm with a 3/16 bullet weight T - Rigged would be a fine starting point. A weightless Wacky for a beginner is gonna deep hook alot of fish. IMHO
  22. I was just trying to be nice about the weigh, some folks are sensitive.🙂 If you'd break out the fishing robe, that'd even up the odds. Looks like a fine trip.
  23. Alex, that man's half your age and outweighs by 40+ lbs. It wasn't a fair competition. 😆
  24. Encountered YES. The DNR says we don't have them here in Ga.. Everytime I'm in Publix I'm concerned for my well-being with all the Cougars. I wear this gray beard but I'm pretty sure they can tell I'm younger than I look. It's a truly dangerous situation because you're not supposed to turn your back on them. But when there's dozens, what are gonna do?
