  1. I don't target bedding fish. I'll typically head to wind blown points and fish my way into coves/pockets with topwater, spinnerbait, and flukes. Once I figure out where the bulk of the feeding fish are I head straight to same distance/depth in the next cove. I believe that we have prespawn, spawning, and post spawn fish now. I've been catching them coming and going. Been four times this week and caught four species of bass every trip.
  2. Recieved a brand new Savage Gear 3d snake 12" and it was broke in the package. Emailed Savage and got a quick response. They ask for photos and my address. Sent photos and info to them. That was over two months ago. I've emailed the guy I dealt with 3 times and received no further correspondence. Poor customer service in my eyes for a $27 lure.
  3. 7'6" to 8' for my frogging. I fish big swimbaits on my 8' rods alot so I'm accustomed to the longer rods.
  4. It walks great. It's a big lure. I'll report when I get more time on the water with it. Post spawn fish will hopefully be feeding on Megadogs.
  5. Megabass Megadog. Much easier to work than the Lunker Punker and has yet to get fouled on the line
  6. Been there with my fishing partner. Backed him down and the boat floated over the ramp next to ours. Had to push it back over with the outboard motor to align it to pull it back up the ramp.
  7. I'd go real big or real small and see what happens. I'd try an 8" or 9" swimbait or a slider worm and maybe a bitsy bug.
  8. I've had problems with Spider Wire(very limp) before. Changed to Berkley Fireline(fairly stiff) and have no wind knots or blowups. When I notice it's twisted I cut the lure off and drag it behind the boat in a fast idle to the next spot. Reel it in retie and fish til next time it's twisted which my be 3 or 4 fishing trips.
  9. I installed a Solix 15 SI GPS, 360 Imaging, Delta Pro 3 bank charger, 3 group 31 Duracells, 8 gang switch panel, and a Terrova 80 I pilot link with bluetooth. Spent more on this than the boat(1448 Lowe) & motor(25 Merc 2 stroke) new. My wife (my financial advisor) actually talked me into the Solix. I was looking at the Helix.
  10. I fish an aluminum (sailboat) also. Spotlock & auto pilot has totally enabled me to go fish no matter the wind.
  11. I run the Curado 70 HG
  12. Very true but the 65 lb doesn't dig into the spool like the lighter braids. I've snapped of multiple lures on 50 lb before I figured that out.
  13. If your boat doesn't leak just put a mooring boat cover on it. It would also help to keep it clean/protected.
  14. I run 3 of the AGM group 31s in my boat from Sam's. I'm 8 months in with no problems
  15. Works great unless your boat/trailer isn't wide enough to see in your side mirrors. If I see my boat/trailer in the side mirrors it's already a problem.
  16. I'd throw a Super Fluke
  17. P line was the first fluorocarbon line I tried. Broke off 7 fish with 3 different knots on the hook sets. Didn't use fluorocarbon for years. Tried Seaguar and have had zero problems.
  18. The pain goes away in time.
  19. For winter I wear 100 mph suit. Frabill lightweight jacket/bib suit for the rest of the year.
  20. I tied them into the reverse lights on the truck. No switch, no chance of leaving them on while driving down the road.
  21. Something to consider while you're working on your trailer lights. I put bright white LEDs on my trailer for backing up. I put my boat in many places with no lights in the dark.
